Jujutsu Kaisen's Maki Zenin looks ready to take on any opponent in two new cosplays.

SPOILERS FOR JUJUTSU KAISEN FOLLOW:

Professional model and cosplayer Momo Tomomoto posted pictures of their two Maki Zenin cosplays to Instagram. The first depicts Maki as she appears in the beginning of Gege Akutami's supernatural shonen manga and anime series, clad in the standard Jujutsu High uniform with her green hair tied up in a pony tail. The second version of the costume features Maki as she appears later on the series, after the cursed weapon specialist is injured during her battle against the fiery Jogo in the Shibuya Incident arc. This version of Maki sports shorter hair and cuts the sleeves off of her uniform, exposing the burn scars that the young warrior was left with.

More of Tomomoto's cosplays can be found on their dedicated cosplay Instagram account. In addition to portraying the would-be heir to the Zenin family, the cosplayer has taken on several other popular anime, manga and video game characters, including Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's Jolene Cujoh, Genshin Impact's Baal, and Resident Evil's mysterious double-agent, Ada Wong. When they are not cosplaying, Tomomoto works as a professional fitness model in Japan.

Fans can also see Maki put her weapon skills to use in the a new fan film from RE:Anime, which recently premiered their live-action recreation of Maki and Kasumi Miwa's action-packed showdown from the anime's Kyoto Goodwill Event arc.

Maki is also one of several characters who make an appearance in Jujutsu Kaisen 0, the franchise's first movie. Set a year before Yuji Itadori consumes Sukuna's finger and is introduced to the world of Curses and sorcerers, the prequel film focuses on Yuta Okkotsu, a timid young man who is haunted by the spirit of his childhood sweet heart, Rika. While Yuji and his fellow first-year sorcerers Megumi and Nobara notably do not appear in the film, many other older characters from the series, including Maki and the mischievous teacher Satoru Gojo, do play key roles in the story. The movie was released in Japan on Dec. 24 and has already achieved blockbuster status, taking in 5.78 billion yen (about $50.7 million USD) in its first two weeks in theaters. An international release for Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has yet to be announced.

Jujutsu Kaisen was created by Gege Akutami in 2018.  The series has quickly become one of Japan's most popular entertainment properties, with the manga achieving a circulation of more than 60 million copies. The first season of the anime can be streamed from Crunchyroll, while the manga is available in English in both print and digital formats from VIZ Media.
