The sorcerers and curse users of Jujutsu Kaisen each have wildly different cursed techniques with unique activation requirements and effects. However, regardless of the cursed technique, their ultimate attacks manifest in the same form. Domain Expansions are the pinnacle of jujutsu sorcery. When activated, they create a separate space with barrier techniques and fill them with the sorcerer's innate domain.

In these spaces, the caster's cursed techniques are amplified and in some cases are impossible for those trapped within the Domain to evade. Other domains set specific rules for those within to follow, with penalties for those who break them regardless of who cast it. Every domain revealed in Jujutsu Kaisen so far has distinctive traits that make them uniquely deadly. Here's what they are and what they do.

Chimera Shadow Garden - Megumi Fushiguro

Megumi activating his Domain Expansion in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Megumi may not be a Zenin in name but he certainly has the clan's talents. He first created his Domain Expansion with no prior attempts simply by willing it and has since progressed in his mastery of jujutsu sorcery by leaps and bounds

Within his domain expansion, his already versatile Ten Shadows technique has its limits completely removed. Chimera Shadow Garden allows Megumi to summon an unlimited amount of shikigami simultaneously and even create doubles of himself from solid shadow.

As his Domain Expansion is technically just one giant shadow, Megumi himself, and his shikigami can emerge from anywhere at all within it. Domain Expansions guarantee that its caster's attack meets their target, even if they attempt to block it. In Megumi's case, you might not even see it coming.

Infinite Void - Satoru Gojo

Gojo inside his Unlimited Void in Jujutsu Kaisen.

As if Satoru Gojo wasn't terrifying enough, his Domain Expansion truly takes the instant-kill feature of domains to another level. While other Domain Expansions guarantee an attack succeeds, Infinite Void itself is the attack. Once caught in it, Satoru's victim is assaulted with an endless barrage of every kind of stimuli.

The infinite information being fed to those trapped within the domain is granted courtesy of Satoru's Limitless Technique, which grants him complete control over every aspect of space. Understandably, anyone inside Infinite Void is paralyzed by the overstimulation and is completely at Satoru's mercy. Within Infinite void, the only way to escape the effects of Limitless is to be in direct physical contact with Satoru himself though that often means that the battle has already been decided.

Horizon of The Captivating Skandha - Dagon

Apart from a deep sense of affection between Dagon and his Cursed Spirit compatriots, nothing much is known about the aquatic Cursed Spirit. Dagon's domain, Horizon of The Captivating Skandha isn't inherently dangerous unless he wants it to be. Before he emerged from his cursed womb as a mature cursed Spirit, it was used as a base of operations for his teammates but Dagon finally revealed its full potential in battle.

During the Shibuya Incident, Dagon trapped three sorcerers, all First Grade or higher, within his Domain Expansion. It takes the form of a picturesque island paradise surrounded by large volumes of water. The water is integral to his attack, as he summons thousands of shikigami ocean monsters from its depths in waves that swarm his opponents and bite them to death.

Graveyard Domain- Smallpox Deity

The Smallpox Deity was another Cursed Spirit that took part in the Shibuya Incident. As he was summoned by Kenjaku to deal with the Grade 1 Sorcerer, Mei-Mei, its abilities should definitely not be underestimated. His Gravestone technique is one of the deadliest abilities introduced in the series yet and when used in conjunction with his Domain Expansion would spell instant death for any lesser sorcerer.

The Graveyard Domain is quite straightforward as Domain Expansions go. It simply ensures his near-fatal cursed technique reaches its target. He begins his attack by trapping his opponent within a vertical coffin. Once that condition is met, the Smallpox Deity conjures up a gigantic gravestone that pushes the coffin underground. Once buried, his victim has only three seconds to escape both the coffin and gravestone before they contract smallpox and perish instantly. Mei Mei was able to escape because she had her brother, Ui Ui, as a backup but for most sorcerers, facing Graveyard Domain alone would spell their end.

Coffin of The Iron Mountain - Jogo

Jogo activating his Domain Expansion in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Jogo's Domain Expansion is similar to Satoru's; they both have passive effects that are capable of disabling opponents without them even lifting a finger. While Infinite Void paralyzes opponents by overstimulation, Coffin of The Iron Mountain opts for a more brutal strategy, by incinerating all intruders.

Jogo's Domain Expansion takes the form of a volcano's interior. For most sorcerers, the temperature would kill them the instant they were trapped within it. As expected, Jogo's fiery attacks are significantly more powerful within his domain. His varied attacks include Ember Insects, mini volcanoes, and the meteorite he used against Sukuna are guaranteed to hit their target should they survive the heat. It's easily one of Jujutsu Kaisen's most powerful Domain Expansions.

Self-Embodiment of Perfection - Mahito

Mahito Transfigures A Victim

Mahito's Domain Expansion is another one that almost guarantees instant victory upon successful activation. His Idle Transfiguration Cursed Technique allows him to modify the soul of any human he is in direct contact with but his Domain nullifies the need for physical contact with his target.

For all intents and purposes, anyone trapped within Self-Embodiment of Perfection is in the palm of Mahito's hand and he is able to mold their soul as he sees fit. The Domain's one weakness is Mahito himself. He has to actively choose to activate its effects as they don't instantly apply to those trapped within it. Since he's fond of savoring the battle and his opponents instead of instantly finishing them off, the seconds he takes to gloat can be exploited but only by a sorcerer with the means to counter his domain.

Malevolent Shrine - Ryomen Sukuna

Sukuna using his domain expansion technique.

Every Domain Expansion is unique but Ryomen 's truly stands out. When it's activated, he manifests his Innate Domain without first using a barrier technique to create a separate space. Bring able to do ao is a testament to his vast reserves of cursed energy and it boosts the effects of his Cursed Technique on those within range.

Allowing an opponent the option of escape creates a binding vow for Ryomen's domain expansion. His already razor-sharp Dismantle technique becomes able to cut through even the toughest of opponents. When Sukuna manifested his Domain in front of a Special Grade Cursed Spirit, Dismantle instantly split it into more pieces than Sukuna intended to cut it into. As long as his target is within range of Malevolent Shrine, they're not immune to his attacks no matter their level of cursed energy.

Deadly Sentencing - Hiromi Higuruma

Higuruma using his Domain Expansion in Jujutsu Kaisen

Hiromi's Domain Expansion is another with unique properties, and possibly the most complicated revealed yet. Instead of the guaranteed hit that most afford their users, Deadly Sentencing prevents the use of violence by anyone caught within it. It manifests a courtroom space in which Hiromi's opponent is tried for a random crime or misdemeanor they'd committed within their lifetime. The accused is given the option of silence, confession, or denial along with an opportunity to state their version of events. Hiromi's shikigami Judgeman decides the final sentence.

Hiromi also plays an active part in his opponent’s trial. When he activates his Domain, he is also granted a piece of inconclusive evidence related to the case. After the accused makes their case, their story is compared with Hiromi's evidence and Judgeman delivers the final ruling. A guilty verdict often results in their Cursed Technique being removed by Judgeman and Hiromi enforces whatever sentence they have given himself.
