Jujutsu Kaisen has plenty of overpowered characters. There are a wide variety of cursed energy users that the series has introduced. However, like most action anime, there are tiers to different abilities. In Jujutsu Kaisen, the sheer range of powers is vast. The innate abilities of certain characters give them an advantage when it comes to combat.

Plenty of cursed energy users have overcome their lack of powers to stand toe-to-toe with other characters in the series. However, a few of the Jujutsu Kaisen characters had powerful abilities from the anime's beginning. Some of these characters are jujutsu sorcerers and others are cursed spirits, but they all share the commonality of having an overpowered head start.

10 Yuji Itadori And His Freakish Athletic Abilities

Despite being the series' protagonist, Yuji Itadori began the series with no control over Cursed Energy. However, what Yuji lacked in jujutsu sorcery, he made up for in physical strength. In all aspects of physicality, Yuji excels: he's extremely quick, he has an insane amount of stamina, and he routinely pulls off feats of strength that should not be possible for humans.

When the audience first meets Yuji, they can quickly surmise that he has major physical talents. Yuji's control over his body allows him to excel as a jujutsu sorcerer and even house the cursed spirit Sukuna.

9 Inumaki Toge And His Powerful Voice

Audience members typically have no idea what Inumaki Toge is saying, and that is because of the power of his Cursed Speech. Toge's Cursed Speech allows him to be a semi-grade one sorcerer, making Toge one of the highest-rated students in the series. Toge has proved on several occasions how powerful his cursed technique is. He can completely stop other sorcerers and stun some of the most dangerous cursed spirits in the series, all with his Cursed Speech.

Unlike some of the other characters in the series, Toge's Cursed Speech does harm his throat and body. This limitation means that he has to stop using his power when it damages his throat too much. However, even with this caveat, Cursed Speech is a powerful attribute for Toge.

8 Kento Nanami Has More Cursed Energy Than Most Sorcerers

Kento Nanami activates overtime in Jujutsu Kaisen.

As a faculty member of Jujutsu Tokyo High, most audience members expected Kento Namami to be strong. However, Nanami exceeded expectations during his fight with Mahito. He has an abundance of cursed energy that he can use, and his ability Overtime even allows him to use over 100% of his cursed energy to fight and protect himself.

Nanami's ability Ratio Technique allows him to create weak points along his target, revealing lines across his enemy's body that can be easily slashed.

7 Aoi Todo Is A Lot More Than Just Muscles

At first glance, Aoi Todo looks like someone who would excel only in physical combat and maybe humor. However, while Todo is a very skilled hand-to-hand fighter, he has many powerful cursed energy abilities that allow him to be a grade one sorcerer. For example, he uses his excess cursed energy to perform Black Flash, a powerful punch.

However, Todo's innate technique of Boogie Woogie makes his fighting unique. With just the clap of his hands, Todo swaps places with anyone or anything within a specific range. This technique allows Todo to excel even further in hand-to-hand combat.

While Kenjaku is in Jujutsu Kaisen's anime adaptation, his powers have yet to be shown on TV. Therefore, the rest of Kenjaku's entry will have SPOILERS for his abilities.

As an ancient jujutsu sorcerer, Kenjaku has been able to stay alive due to his innate ability. This ability allows Kenjaku to put his brain in any individual's body and utilize their cursed energy, and makes Kenjaku one of the most intimidating antagonists in Jujutsu Kaisen.

5 Mahito Has Some Brutal Abilities

Mahito Smiling Calmly

As one of the main antagonists of the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen, fans came to know Mahito and his cursed abilities. While Mahito has a lot of cursed energy, that is not his only trick. He's extremely hard to damage as physical hits do nothing to him. Instead, one must hit the essence of Mahito's soul to harm him. He also has the ability Idle Transformation - a technique allows him to reshape the souls of anyone that he touches.

4 Hanami And The Power Of Nature

Hanami is a mighty cursed spirit. While Hanami may not have the same level of cursed energy as Jogo, he has plenty of special abilities to use in combat. He utilizes the nature around him to bring up his defenses, and in a bind, he can also create a field of flowers that work to distract his enemies. This distraction allows Hanami to escape dangerous situations.

Hanami does not rely entirely on his defenses. The ability to shoot vines, buds, and wooden balls - all with cursed energy - makes Hanami a fierce competitor in combat.

3 Sukuna Is The King Of Curses

As one of the principal cursed spirits of Jujutsu Kaisen, fans have already seen how powerful Sukuna's abilities are. While Sukuna only has a few of his powerful fingers, he has an immense amount of cursed energy. He can use this cursed energy in his domain expansion, Malevolent Shrine, which is extremely powerful, as well as to heal his own injures instantly.

2 Megumi Fushiguro And His Shikigami

There is a reason why Sukuna takes a significant interest in Megumi and his abilities. Not only is Megumi a very talented fighter, but the Ten Shadows Technique allows Megumi to summon shikigami to aid him in combat.

The shikigami give Megumi a large variety of ways to fight. Some of the shikigami, such as the Divine Dogs, are more offensive, but Megumi can also use Nue and its flight as a defensive maneuver. The Ten Shadows Technique allows Megumi to be a powerful character and fight against high-level cursed spirits.

1 Satoru Gojo And His Infinite Abilities

Gojo Satoru with his blindfold from Jujutsu Kaisen

Satoru Gojo is one of the strongest characters in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe. Gojo is by nature infinitely powerful. Not only does he have a massive amount of cursed energy as well as exceptional hand-to-hand combat abilities, but he also has the abilities Limitless and Infinity.

Limitless allows Gojo to control space-time with his cursed energy. Infinity is technically a part of Limitless but is powerful enough to be discussed on its own. When enemies attempt to attack Gojo, they will hit the infinity that exists between them and Gojo. This infinity causes enemies to slow down exponentially, and in essence makes them unable to ever hit Gojo. On top of this, even if enemies can't touch Gojo, Gojo can enact a lot of damage in return with techniques like his domain expansion or Hollow Purple.
