Hailing from the Inumaki Clan, Jujutsu Tech's second year student Toge Inumaki possesses the clan's famous cursed speech technique. With a distinct physical appearance, individuals from the Inumaki Clan bear a unique Snake and Fangs seal on their cheeks and tongue. The technique reinforces the user's words with cursed energy, and any spoken word becomes a command their opponents must follow.
Using the technique repeatedly takes a toll on Inumaki's throat, and he avoids speaking so that he doesn't curse his friends by accident. If he were to obtain greater mastery of his technique, Inumaki would be one of the deadliest threats in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Cursed speech is a versatile technique based on language. If an opponent is unaware of Inumaki's cursed speech, it would be difficult for them to defend against it. As Inumaki grows stronger, so do the effects of his cursed speech, making it possible for him to detain more powerful foes. However, since Inumaki is still a relatively inexperienced jujutsu sorcerer, he uses simple commands such as "sleep" or "run away," which is extremely useful in a battle when his opponent doesn't know how to counter his technique.
Inumaki's more complex commands include "get twisted," "explode," and "get crushed." These commands are more effective at neutralizing enemies, however, using cursed speech takes a toll on the user's body. Using stronger techniques results in greater physical backlash, such as a sore throat or the user coughing up blood. If the drawbacks of his cursed speech weren't so severe, Inumaki could take the commands further and command an individual to die. He could also instruct his opponent to turn on their allies and kill them.
Inumaki is only in his second year of school. Therefore, he is still learning how to master his technique and navigate the drawbacks that come with cursed speech. As he furthers his skills, he could eventually master a domain expansion. Domain expansions are known as the highest ability a jujutsu sorcerer can master. The domain acts as a barrier that separates a space that reveals the user's innate technique and creates an environment that heightens the user's cursed energy. The captured target cannot avoid the user's cursed techniques inside the domain.
Sukuna's domain, Malevolent Shrine, hits anything within its effective range with relentless attacks. Gojo's domain, Infinite Void, traps his target inside his limitless technique, which renders them immobile. Out of the Tokyo Jujutsu Tech students, Megumi is the only student to have used a domain, even though it was incomplete. If Inumaki utilized a domain expansion, he would be able to expand the reach of his cursed speech.
Throughout Jujutsu Kaisen, Inumaki only used his cursed speech on multiple sorcerers when he told his allies to run away from Hanami. He commanded many lower-level cursed spirits to explode, but their low strength made it easy to execute the attack. It is possible to use the technique on multiple targets at once, but Inumaki often refrains from doing so because of the toll it takes on his throat. Mastering a domain expansion may permit him to utilize his cursed speech to a greater extent. The domain could increase its range of effectiveness and ultimately command a group of individuals to do what he wants.
As Inumaki grows as a sorcerer, he can eventually learn how to utilize more complicated commands without always suffering from the negative drawbacks of the technique. He may eventually cast his first domain expansion, which would not only enhance the power of his technique but broaden its effect range and make him an even more fearsome foe.
