WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Juggernaut #1 by Fabian Nicieza, Ron Garney, Matt Milla, and Joe Sabino, on sale now.

Marvel's most unstoppable antihero, Juggernaut, is back in a self-titled miniseries, and he's straddling the line between continuing his checkered past as an X-Men villain and turning over a new leaf. Now, Cain Marko has taken his immense super-strength to help clean up the kinds of messes that he's been making since he crashed into the Marvel Universe in 1965.

In Juggernaut #1, Marko is working with Damage Control, a construction company that specializes in repairing property damage caused by battles between superheroes and supervillains. In the early pages, Marko emerges from the rubble of a just-demolished building while two of Damage Control's members, Prasad and Menklin, supervise the work. Juggernaut helps them bring down buildings that have been irreparably damaged during a recent battle. "I can take down the rest of the block if you want," he says. "No extra charge."

Damage Control was introduced in  1 989 by Dwayne McDuffie and Ernie Colon in Marvel Comics Presents #19. Despite the company's relatively low profile, Damage Control has been involved in some of Marvel's biggest storylines, cleaning up in the wake of events like Civil War and World War Hulk. The construction company also helped to reclaim alien technology in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming.

In addition to cleaning up after superhero battles, Damage Control also houses metahuman technology previously owned by missing or dead individuals. After establishing the settlement of Krakoa in the recent House of X series, by Jonathan Hickman, Pepe Larraz, Marte Gracia and Clayton Cowles, some text pieces revealed that Damage Control is in possession of one of the largest arsenals in the Marvel Universe. When several X-Men villains tried to break in, the Fantastic Four were called in, and it was revealed that various inventions created by both Tony Stark and Reed Richards were now in Damage Control's possession, due to events that incapacitated the two heroes.

While Damage Control has no reason to use that weaponry, it's far more than a construction company or a demolition operation, as the presence of Juggernaut can attest to.

Damage Control is definitely more than just a construction company that cleans up battle sites. This construction company also houses potentially life-ending technology. With such technology still out there, maybe it's a good thing that Juggernaut is working with Damage Control. Maybe the big guy is on the road to redemption, and who else could better protect these items?
