'Judge Dredd: Superfiend' Web Series Arrives

After significant teasing, producer Adi Shankar has at least released all six episodes of the animated web series Judge Dredd: Superfiend.

Produced as a thank you to fans who supported the live-action Dredd, the miniseries is part of the "Bootleg Universe" that includes Shankar's well-received short films The Punisher: Dirty Laundry and Venom: Truth in Journalism.

"This 'Bootleg Universe' mini-series was made in the tradition of Saturday morning cartoons based on our favorite sci-fi comic book characters," he writes. "The look was inspired by 90’s MTV, Ren & Stimpy, with a dash of ReBoot juxtaposed with the trademark violence found in everything I have done.

The series centers on the Dark Judges, the sinister group of undead law enforcers from an alternate dimension, created by John Wagner, Alan Grant and Brian Bolland: Judge Death, Judge Fear, Judge Fire and Judge Mortis.
