Marvel Comics is bringing in prolific podcasting family the McElroys for War of the Realms: Journey into Mystery, a limited series that may hold the secret to bringing the battle to a close.

Brothers Justin, Griffin, Travis and their father Clint McElroy announced Thursday they'll be writing the five-issue series with artist André Lima  Araújo with covers from Journey Into Mystery alum Valerio Schiti. The series will star Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Wonder Man, Hawkeye (Kate Bishop), Thori the Hellhound, Sebastian Druid, Death Locket and Balder the Brave as they search for Thor's little sister, theorized to be just what they need to put an end to the War of the Realms and the siege of Earth.

The McElroys have gained prominence in the fantasy fiction space in the last few years with the debut of their roleplaying podcast The Adventure Zone. What started as a special episode of the brothers' other successful podcast endeavor My Brother, My Brother and Me, The Adventure Zone quickly gained an impressive fan following with listeners adding their own flair to the show's vast cast of characters. Last year, the podcast's first arc "Here There Be Gerblins" was adapted into a graphic novel from First Second Books with art from Carey Pietsch. It topped The New York Times' trade fiction bestseller list its month of release, and a second volume is planned for release in 2019.

The brothers also starred in a television adaptation of My Brother, My Brother and Me in 2017 and will be heard as guest voices in the upcoming Trolls: World Tour, another event that was born out of podcast form.

This is the first  Journey into Mystery story since September 2018's The Birth of Krakoa and the first run since Kathryn Immonen and Valerio Schiti capped off their arc in Issue #655.

The first issue of War of the Realms: Journey Into Mystery releases April 10.
