Joseph Gordon-Levitt was recently a guest on the Hot Ones YouTube show, where he explained where he believes the future of storytelling lies.

"The future of storytelling, it's gonna be video games," Gordon-Levitt said, "I don't really think it's really gonna be filmmakers who figure out how to do that." He added, "It [games] feels like the most groundbreaking storytelling… Storytelling that's like, completely in a whole different realm than anything we've seen before. I don't think it's necessarily going to be the 'feature film' form."

Gordon-Levitt has slowly become involved with video games through his production company HitRecord, which has partnered with Ubisoft for several projects, including games such as Beyond Good and Evil 2 and Watch Dogs Legion.

Gordon-Levitt has starred in a number of blockbuster films, including Inception, The Dark Knight Rises and more. His most recent role is that of Frank Shaver in the Netflix original film Project Power. The film centered on a pill that would grant its users superpowers for five minutes.

Co-written by The Batman's Mattson Tomlin, Project Power also stars Jamie Foxx, Dominique Fishback, Rodrigo Santoro, Courtney B. Vance and Amy Landecker. It is currently streaming on Netflix.
