As more fallout emerges following the arrest of Marvel Cinematic Universe and Creed III star Jonathan Majors on Mar. 25, multiple filmmakers are claiming that the actor has been known as an abuser for a long time.

On Twitter, Your Turn and Uncle Frank director A.B. Allen posted a series of tweets after learning of Majors being taken into custody for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend during an incident in New York City. Allen stated in February that "there's a particular actor, relatively new on the scene, who Twitter has violently fallen head over heels for who, in actuality, is a vicious, cruel, abusive human being, both professionally and in his personal life, and every new viral thirst tweet about him drives me insane." Following the breaking news about Majors' arrest, Allen responded to a user's repost of his statement in February, confirming it was Majors he was referring to.

When pressed by the user why he wouldn't divulge more information about Majors' alleged actions, Allen replied, "the specifics of what *I* know unfortunately would still expose people who have been hurt and deserve to not become part of some larger media inquiry if they don't want to."

Other Claims About Jonathan Majors

Allen wasn't the only one to voice his opinion on Majors, as Broadway helmer/actor Tim Nicolai supported claims of the actor's troubling behavior dating back to his time attending Yale University. Nicolai said, "I’m just gonna say this about Jonathan Majors and be done with it: folks at Yale and the broader NYC community have known about him for years. He’s a sociopath and abuser and that is how virtually everyone speaks about him. It’s a shame it took this long for him to be reported."

Majors was held by New York police after an alleged incident after he and his girlfriend were returning home from a Brooklyn bar. After Majors and his partner got into an argument, the actor allegedly grabbed and slapped her. Additionally, he was accused of putting his hands around her neck, with the victim later taken to the hospital to treat head and neck injuries. Majors was charged by local prosecutors with misdemeanor assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault and harassment. After a judge released Majors without bail at his Manhattan Criminal Court arraignment Saturday night, the actor was given a May court date.

Through his legal team, Majors vehemently denied the accusations made against him, with his criminal defense attorney Priya Chaudhry claiming the alleged victim has two written statements recanting the allegations as evidence proving Majors' innocence. Furthermore, Chaudhry said there is video footage from the vehicle where the argument occurred, as well as witness testimony from the driver and others who saw the incident to exonerate the actor.

Majors' Hollywood Career

Majors is known for his role as Damian Anderson, opposite Michael B. Jordan's Donnie "Adonis" Creed, in Creed III and for playing the live-action version of supervillain Kang the Conqueror in the MCU. Kang debuted as a multiversal variant, He Who Remains, in the Loki Season 1 finale before appearing in his first Marvel feature film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

The MCU is currently set to feature a lot more of Majors' Kang, as the next two Avengers films are set to feature him prominently in The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars, which are set for 2025 and 2026 releases respectively. Marvel has yet to comment on the allegations against Majors.
