Jonathan Majors' Arrest for Assult

Representatives for Majors released a statement following his arrest, saying, "He has done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up." Majors was released from custody the next day, which was also when his partner recanted her statements to the police. After his release, Majors' criminal defense attorney Priya Chaudhry explained, "Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows. We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently."

Since his arrest, Majors has been cut from the United States Army's latest "Be All You Can Be" campaign, of which he was to be the face. The Army released a statement saying, "The U.S. Army is aware of the arrest of Jonathan Majors and we are deeply concerned by the allegations surrounding his arrest. We recently released two ads in which Mr. Majors appears. While Mr. Majors is innocent until proven guilty, prudence dictates that we pull our ads until the investigation into these allegations is complete."

Majors' career has rocketed in recent years, with his Marvel Cinematic Debut as a variant of Kang the Conqueror in the first season of Loki marking a significant turning point for the actor. Since then, Majors has reprised his role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and is slated to return as the primary antagonist of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, slated for release in 2025. Majors' Kang is also expected to play a prominent role in the MCU's Secret Wars and the upcoming second season of Loki.

Majors recently presented at the 95th Academy Awards alongside fellow Creed III star Michael B. Jordan. The film saw Majors play the role of Damian Anderson opposite Jordan's Adonis "Donnie" Creed, the son of Apollo Creed, who was portrayed by Carl Weathers in the first four Rocky films.
