Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Creed III star Jonathan Majors has completely denied the assault allegations, sharing his girlfriend's text messages in an effort to prove his innocence.

In a statement shared with The Direct, Jonathan Majors' criminal defense lawyer Priya Chaudhry relayed that the actor "completely denies assaulting the woman. Around 11 a.m. on March 25, 2023, Jonathan Majors called 911 out of concern for the woman’s mental health." Chaudhry continued that Majors was arrested on March 25 due to "an NYPD protocol requiring arrest in certain circumstances." Majors' girlfriend later sent text messages to him admitting that she was the one who used physical force against him. The Direct also obtained a copy of the text messages, which are shared below. The woman's name has been redacted for her privacy.

Majors was arrested in New York City on Saturday, March 25, on domestic abuse allegations involving a confrontation between the actor and his girlfriend, which resulted in the woman being taken to the hospital for "minor injuries to her head and neck." Since his arrest, Majors has denied the allegations and maintained that he is innocent. Chaudhry released a statement on March 26, claiming they were gathering evidence that would effectively clear Majors' name in the incident. Said evidence included "video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations."

Majors' Army Ads Pulled Following Arrest

Before his arrest, 2023 was shaping up to be Majors' best year yet, career-wise. The actor was part of the ensemble casts for two major box office hits -- Quantumania and Creed III -- with a third film, Magazine Dreams, set for release in December. However, since his arrest, the United States Army pulled two ads from its latest "Be All You Can Be" campaign, which prominently featured Majors. The Army also released a statement saying, "The U.S. Army is aware of the arrest of Jonathan Majors and we are deeply concerned by the allegations surrounding his arrest. We recently released two ads in which Mr. Majors appears. While Mr. Majors is innocent until proven guilty, prudence dictates that we pull our ads until the investigation into these allegations is complete."

He will also be the main antagonist in the next two Avengers movies -- 2025's The Kang Dynasty and 2026's Secret Wars. At the time of writing, Marvel has yet to comment on the allegations against Majors.
