The Justice League consists of DC's greatest heroes. In Future State, readers get a glimpse of Jon's future Justice League, but in the present, it would be interesting to see him as a member of the current League. As the one and only Superman, Jon would definitely have a place there, and he has team experience stemming from his past on the Legion of Superheroes.

Seeing Jon on the biggest superteam in the DC Universe, especially a more classic version of it, would be amazing. He'd bring a new dynamic to the team because of his different way of doing things and would change the team's culture.

4 He Deserves To Be Superman More Than Any Other Replacement Superman

Many characters have acted as replacement Supermen over the years. Whether it be the four replacement Supermen post-Death Of Superman, alternate universe children, or other Kryptonians, DC goes to this well semi-regularly. A lot of these characters have become important parts of the DC Universe, like Kon-El and Steel, but none of them have really deserved to be Superman.

Jon does. From his time in SuperSons, fans have known he was a special character, and recent years have all seemed to be preparing him. He's also the son of Clark Kent, having been raised by him and Lois Lane. No one is more worthy of being the one true Superman than him.

3 His History Has Groomed Him For The Job

Jon Kent was destined to become Superman from the beginning. One of the biggest indications of this was the change to the Legion of Superheroes's history. Jon came up with the idea for United Planets, an act that made him an inspiration for the teens of the future. He joined the team, taking his father's place in the new continuity.

2 There Are Differences Between Him And Clark

Superman Jons Suffering Revealed

Jon has changed a lot over the years, but he was different from his father from the beginning. Clark was raised by the Kents, who were great people, but rather ordinary. Jon was raised by Lois Lane, the greatest reporter on the planet, and Superman, the greatest superhero ever. He hung out with Batman's son, and every hero knew him.

He was raised in a completely different way than his father by very different people. He's had superheroic experiences at a younger age than Clark did. Jon brings a new perspective to Superman that his father didn't have, allowing for new adventures.

1 Change Is Good

Jon is a very different Superman from his father, which makes a world of difference. The 21st century can be a very different place, and it needs a new hero. Clark is great, but he represents the old guard in many ways. On the other hand, Jon is a hero for the new millennium, molded by the events and mores of this new time.

Superhero mantles change hands a lot, but making that change permanent with a hero as famous as Superman is a big move. Many people see Superman as stodgy and old-fashioned. Making Jon the only Superman could change that and make the mantle new again.
