Joker director Todd Phillips recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the film's iconic dance on the West 167th Street staircase in New York.

Phillips posted the photo on Instagram on Saturday with the caption "Weekend. Although at this point, what’s the difference? Stay safe."

The scene of Joker dancing was filmed at near the New York City Subway's West 167th Street station in the Bronx. The titular character hopped down the stairs to Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll, Part 2" just before being interrupted and chased by two police detectives. The site has become a tourist attraction since the film's release.

Joaquin Phoenix stars in Joker as Arthur Fleck, who becomes increasingly mad and violent as he takes on the persona of the Clown Prince of Crime. The film was a critical and commercial success, earning Phoenix an Academy Award for Best Actor and composer Hildur Guðnadóttir an Oscar for Best Original Score.

Directed by Todd Phillips, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais and Shea Whigham. The film is now available on Digital HD, Blu-ray, 4K UHD, DVD and HBO Max.
