Joker producer Michael E. Uslan recently shared his idea for a film starring another popular Batman villain, Mr. Freeze.

During a virtual appearance at Wizard World's "Batman to Joker" panel, Uslan mentioned the method director Todd Phillips used for making Joker could be used to tell stories of other DC villains. Mr. Freeze would be his choice to star in a similar film.

"One of my favorite episodes of Batman: The Animated Series, which I love, absolutely love, dealt with Mr. Freeze and the loss of his wife," he said. "The empathy, the emotions that that created, I could see [making a movie]."

The Batman: The Animated Series that Uslan referenced showed the origin story of Victor Fries/Mr. Freeze, which involved the character experiencing an accident while working on a cryogenic experiment to save his wife. The Mr. Freeze character would also star in a 1998 direct-to-video animated film based on Batman: The Animated Series called Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero.
