Ever since it premiered at the Venice Film Festival this past August, Joker has been garnering serious award buzz and critical acclaim for its grounded, gritty portrayal of the eponymous DC Comics villain.

A hit with critics and audiences alike, the film has been submitted by Warner Bros. for award consideration, leading to numerous nominations from several award shows. Among the aspects of the film that are nominated is the screenplay written by Scott Silver and director Todd Phillips. The studio has since made the screenplay available to read online, described as the final shooting script completed by Phillips and Silver last December as principal photography came to an end.

The film has received several notable award nominations, including four Golden Globe nominations. Joaquin Phoenix's performance as the villainous Arthur Fleck has also earned him early Oscar buzz.

The film is currently available on Digital HD on and will arrive on Blu-ray, 4K UHD and DVD Jan. 7, 2020.
