Last week, the Line it is Drawn was all about our artists drawing your suggestions for the Joker "crashing" the film posters for classic films.

Due to a screw-up on my part, I missed a submission from Caanan Grall for his take on the Joker starring in the Jerk, which was suggested by reader ErichMees.

The Jerk, of course, was about a young man (played by Steve Martin, who also co-wrote the movie, based loosely on Martin's successful stand-up comedy routine) who was adopted by a family of black sharecroppers and he grew up to try to make a name for himself in the world and got caught up in a series of misadventures along the way.

Here is Caanan's take on the concept, using Joaquin Phoenix's Joker as the featured character in this riff...

Great stuff, Caanan! Sorry for not getting you into the Line last week!

Everyone, be sure to check out Caanan's awesome website, where you can catch up on his delightful webcomic, Max Overacts.
