JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 1 has been available to watch on Netflix since December 2021 and brought an exciting new protagonist in the form of Jotaro Kujo’s daughter, Jolyne Cujoh. With the eagerly awaited arrival of Part Two just around the corner, there are some burning questions about how the series will develop, what the dastardly scheme is of Father Enrico Pucci with Jotaro’s memory disc, and how Jolyne will overcome the seemingly extraordinarily powerful Stand, Pale Snake.

Episode 12, "Torrential Downpour Warning," revealed the history that Pucci had with Dio Brando and their intention to reach a Heaven on earth. While the purpose of stealing Jotaro’s memory disc became apparent to understand the contents of Dio’s journal, which Jotaro read and burned, how he will use this information has yet to come to light. It's safe to say that the personification of Dio lives on in Pucci, and that his single-minded drive to achieve a dream of twenty years prior directs his every action. With a bone from Dio’s body in the hands of Sports Maximum, Pucci is confident in the progression of his plan and the possible resurrection of Dio Brando.

Even with the Stand disc safely escaping the prison via the Speedwagon Foundation pigeon, Jolyne suffered a significant loss alongside her victory. She may have been able to achieve her mission of sending the disc to her father, but the inability to locate the Pucci as the user of the Pale Snake Stand set her back significantly. Due to her grave wounds and accused escape attempt, Jolyne has left herself in a dangerous predicament. Originally, Pucci grossly underestimated her and considered Jotaro the only viable threat to his plan, but now the risk she poses to his agenda is something that cannot be ignored -- that is, if Pucci can overcome his arrogance.

The Netflix trailer revealed Jolyne as purposely having herself sent to the punishment ward in search of the mysterious bone, while the new friends she has made throughout her adventures in the prison will need to step up to ensure her safety and the disruption of Pucci’s plan. Ermes Costello and F.F. have their work cut out for them, also being on Pucci’s radar, and while the intentions of Weather Forecast have an ambiguous implication. Pucci’s history with him and the stealing of his memories requires further exploration. The pink-haired Narciso Anastasia has also revealed himself and his intentions of marriage with Jolyne, dedicating himself to her protection and success.

Fans of the series can expect a continuation of the thought-provoking and intense combat that they know and love from the JoJo series and a further dive into the game-changing scheme of Father Pucci. An assortment of new Stands and characters will enter the fray, battling for the future of fate and time itself. The very concept of Jotaro’s Star Platinum and Time Manipulation is, without a doubt, an important aspect of Pucci’s plan to create the Heaven that Dio dreamed of.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 2, the adapted series of Hirohiko Araki’s Part 6 of the manga, will be available on Netflix in 37 countries on September 1st, with all 12 episodes being released in one hit. This has been argued to effect the excitement of its release due to the lack of a weekly release schedule; however, it will also offer viewers the opportunity to binge-watch the second part at their leisure.
