The following contains spoilers for Episode 15 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 2 "Ultra Security House Unit," now streaming on Netflix.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Part 2 is a supernatural crime and action anime available to stream on Netflix. The apparent side-plot starring Ermes Costello in the previous two episodes came to a close and the result of the battle with Sports Maximum profoundly pushed the main narrative forward. Episode 15, titled "Ultra House Security Unit," returns to Jolyne Cujoh’s mission and introduces a major character who will play a pivotal role in the rest of the series, though his reasoning for joining Team Jolyne is as humorous and out of the blue as expected in the JoJo Universe.

The primary focus of the episode is on setting the stage for the coming conflict between Joylne and Father Enrico Pucci. Acting as a General, Pucci is unleashing the full might of his arsenal on his enemy, as he finally realizes the threat Jolyne is to his agenda. However, it is not only Pucci who is preparing his troops for war. Since Jolyne is housed in the Ultra House Security Unit, she is unable to make contact with those on the outside, leaving her friends to make the necessary moves to best aid her and disrupt Pale Snake's plans. Similarly to the previous episodes, Episode 15 further exposes the secondary protagonists and their intentions, giving them the screen time they deserve.

ff and Anatasia Stone Ocean

This is a pleasant shift to give the secondary characters some more urgency. The character F.F. in particular had been rather static since her introduction, feeling like comedic relief more than a reliable member of the team. This isn't to say that she didn't do her part, especially in the last two episodes of Part 2 with her immense body-mending qualities, but in the grander scheme of things, she was the third wheel to the Jolyne, Ermes and F.F. trio. With Jolyne locked in indefinite confinement and Ermes out of the picture, F.F. is left to take charge and begin the plan to support the woman she swore to protect.

The newly introduced character, who was only briefly shown in Part One, is named Narciso Anatasia. The episode does an interesting job of Emporio Alniño giving the most intense exposition of his murderous backstory, which is absolutely laced with fear and dread, right behind the pink-haired Stand user as he absently reads a book. While it's likely intended to show how dangerous Anatasia is, it is unavoidably amusing, and it gets even funnier when Anatasia announces he will protect Jolyne with all his might, completely shifting the characterization Emporio just described. With one soldier down, Anatasia will be vital in bolstering the ranks in their fight against Pucci -- even if he is charging marriage between himself and Jolyne as payment.

DIO in Stone Ocean

To the pleasure of most JoJo fans, DIO makes another appearance in a flashback with Pucci. Their conversation reveals depth to their relationship, implying a respect shared between them as almost equals and not simply lord and minion. Pucci was an inquisitive man when he was younger and has no issues with making a request for a particularly harmful Stand named Survivor from DIO, showing his forward-thinking for possible uses. This seemingly came in handy, as Pucci makes use of the Stand many years later to infect the Ultra Security House Unit with a growing anger, causing any who have touches its stems to experience an increase in emotion -- namely anger -- to the point of beating their friends to death.

Pucci’s dedication to DIO’s plan to reach Heaven reveals the admiration he had for his former companion. The mysterious bone, the last remnants of DIO, was all he had left beside his memories, and when the bone disappeared after Sports Maximum tried to revive DIO with it, there was a real panic that Pucci had not shown before. However, upon reflection of how the bone moved on its own, Pucci immediately places trust in the bone's intentions, as if he understands the will of DIO is manipulating its actions. In that, Pucci has complete faith and trust in his old friend's intentions, even if it is only a flicker of what DIO used to be.

As the curtain falls on Episode 15, the four Stand users Pucci has sent to the Ultra Security House Unit are freed by a deranged prison officer, and the fight club is on the brink of commencing. Jolyne currently stands alone, surrounded by enemies, but her heroic would-be fiancé is currently en route to offer the desperately needed back-up in an increasingly dire situation.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 2 can be streamed via Netflix, with all 12 episodes available to watch.
