Like any compelling individual, the creator is defined through his many strengths and weaknesses. Through identifying where Rohan excels and in the facets he falls short, we can adequately determine how much of a hero he actually is - if he can even be considered one at all.

10 WEAKNESS: His Hubris Almost Got Him Killed

Anime Rohan the run treadmill

Rohan Kishibe's cockiness and superiority complex may give him a personality, but it also nearly got him killed. After challenging Yoma, a man whose obsession with athleticism clearly defined his personality, to a weightlifting contest, he had no idea of the lengths his opponent would go to in order to procure victory.

Hashimoto made it so that an ordinary test of endurance nearly proved fatal, destroying the glass behind them to ensure whoever lost would fall out of the building and presumably die. This was a fate Kishibe could have avoided risking if he didn't attempt to show off.

9 STRENGTH: He Has Tremendous Physical Strength & Endurance

As foolish as Rohan's attempts to compete with Yoma might have been, they also entailed incredible athleticism that might not be evident from his lithe figure. He was able to compete with the man (allegedly possessed by Hermes, God of Muscle) in both bench pressing and endurance, proving himself to be physically capable.

If he had valued strength during his battle against Josuke Higashikata, he may have been able to lessen the young man's attack as he was beaten to a pulp.

8 WEAKNESS: His Intrusiveness Disregards The Privacy & Safety Of Others

Heaven's Door on Koichi

Heaven's Door allows Rohan Kishibe to read someone's life like the open pages of a book. He has often used this ability to gauge one's intentions and whether or not they can be trusted.

However, he has equally applied this technique to satiate his curiosity, even when the subject in question is not even remotely threatening to him. This was demonstrated through the precarious visit Koichi and Hazamada paid him, one that nearly cost the former his life as his pages (and by extension, body) were gradually being ripped away.

7 STRENGTH: His Creativity Has Saved Lives

As a professional author, creativity is a necessity to Rohan Kishibe's line of work. However, he has also employed it to save the lives of others, as demonstrated through a cursed girl he had come across when passing through her mother's forest.

She was doomed to perish accidentally after encountering the first stranger she met, cracking her skull open when Rohan stumbled upon her. However, after he used Heaven's Door to inscribe that she had never seen him, the young child mysteriously returned back to life.

6 WEAKNESS: His Recklessness Got Him Killed

JJBA Hayato

Rohan Kishibe's reckless curiosity has made him an intrepid hero and valuable ally to Josuke's efforts. However, it is just as much of an inhibition as it is an asset, as demonstrated through his fateful encounter with Hayato.

After uncovering that his pages on his face had a warning label (something Heaven's Door had never previously displayed), he disregarded the omen and opened him anyway. This resulted in Yoshikage Kira's Bites The Dust exploding in his face, killing him instantly and securing the serial murderer's secret.

5 STRENGTH: His Charisma Won Back Koichi's Favor

After Rohan had unsuccessfully abducted Koichi, he attempted to make amends and stated that he moved on from his previously maligned inhibitions. On account of his illustrious reputation and stellar charisma, Hirose was willing to forgive him.

His appeal was not exclusively limited to the young man. He is also held in high regard by his editors, publishers, and even the other Stand users in Morioh who Josuke and his allies had fought against (such as Akira and Tamami). This speaks to his natural talent to connect with others.

4 WEAKNESS: He Has Demonstrated Poor Intuition On Several Occasions

Rohan's intuition and judgment are less than stellar. Though this was demonstrated through his unwitting decision to hear the confession of a man who had been haunted by two ghosts, this was also proven through his battle against Ken in Diamond Is Unbreakable.

The young man's ability was contingent upon his skill in "Rock, Paper, Scissors" contests. Since Kishibe kept second-guessing himself, he lost much of Heaven's Door to his opponent. It was only after he had uncovered his foe's thought pattern and style that he was able to outmaneuver his adversary and overcome him.

3 STRENGTH: Despite His Attitude, He Is Ultimately Selfless

Rohan Kishibe carries himself with the notion that any good he does is only to inspire a story. However, his lengthy accolades of heroism evince his gentle heart and magnanimousness for others.

This was primarily demonstrated through his willingness to battle Ken in order to save Joseph Joestar's invisible baby girl. However, it was also proven through the gambit he took against Ikkyu in order to save the life of Kyoka Izumi and that of her loved ones. In spite of his prickly disposition, he almost as heroic as Josuke himself.

2 WEAKNESS: He Is Obsessed With Victory

Rohan's obsession with victory nearly resulted in his aforementioned death at the hand of Yoma. However, it wasn't the first time he was willing to sacrifice everything in order to achieve a petty triumph.

During a game of dice against Josuke Higashikata, he was literally willing to allow his house to burn down in order to uncover how his opponent was cheating. This was in spite of the fact that the money they wagered was inconsequential to the price of the property itself.

1 STRENGTH: Heaven's Door Is One Of The Most Powerful Stands In The Series

Rohan Kishibe's Heaven's Door was easily one of the series' most potent and versatile Stands. A single touch would render his adversary vulnerable to his edits, allowing him to make such changes as preventing them from attacking or even rendering them blind.

He can also use it for constructive endeavors. When Koichi was instructed to go to Italy by Jotaro Kujo, Rohan used his Stand to teach him Italian. Though he seldom enhances his allies, his ability has unimaginable potential.
