Muhammad Avdol was one of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's main characters in the series' third part, Stardust Crusaders. As one of Joseph Joestar's oldest friends and staunchest allies, he was more than happy to assist the Joestars and their compatriots in traveling across Egypt to defeat DIO and revive Holly Kujo.

Avdol's fiery stand, the Magician's Red, burned a path through the rival stand users they encountered. Here are the three My Hero Academia Quirks that may compare to it.

Magician's Red's Abilities in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

Avdol using Magician's Red

Muhammad Avdol was one of the lucky few Stand Users in Jojo's who was able to use his powers from childhood. The ample time he had to get used to his Stand gave him an unprecedented mastery over it, and the concept of Stands in general. Magician's Red's main ability was akin to Pyrokinesis, but Avdol had interpreted its flames to give himself powers that superseded mere fire.

The flames Magician's Red created could solidify for concussive heat attacks like the Crossfire Hurricane, but its more interesting variation was Avdol's Red Bind. He could create fiery rope that he had complete control over, and it could restrain opponents and induce unconsciousness via overheating once they were bound. However, Magician's Red's most divine ability wasn't offense-oriented; its Life Detector made hiding from Avdol almost impossible since it allowed him to detect the faintest of heat signatures emitted by living things.

Which My Hero Academia Quirks Would Magician's Red Have?

Endeavor in My Hero Academia

The level of mastery Muhammad Avdol has over Magician's Red couldn't be fully captured with just one MHA Quirk. For every separate ability, only some of the Pro-Heroes' most devastating powers could hope to compare. Three of those include the #1 Hero Endeavor's Hellflame Quirk, Deku's Blackwhip and the sensory abilities of Hawks' Fierce Wings. Hellflame is easily attributed to Magician's Red's Flame Control, but the other two Quirks also have similarities to Avdol's Stand.

Blackwhip's very first appearance in MHA was enough to convince all of its combat utility. The tendrils that sprouted from Deku's arms were too strong for even his athletic body to keep in check. Originally belonging to One For All's fifth user, its years of dormancy within the power-stocking Quirk have increased its reach and durability severalfold. Blackwhip may not be able to inflict pain like Magician's Red's Bind attacks but it's never failed Deku yet, whether by increasing his mobility options or allowing him to bind opponents easily.

Finally, Avdol's Life Detector in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure was just as sensitive as Hawks' Fierce Wings in My Hero Academia. Instead of a single compass, however, Hawks could deploy every single feather out of his gigantic wingspan, creating countless sensory points that could detect even the most minimal vibrations around it. Avdol might never be able to match the range that Hawks' sensory abilities could cover, but his Life Detector was nonetheless infallible.
