The JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series is often known for its exaggerated moral binaries. Heroes are completely outstanding and (relatively) flawless, while villains are underhanded, grotesque, and, barring a few exceptions, irredeemable.

However, not all evildoers can be painted with the same brush. Some of their crimes are relatively insignificant, while others are so heinous that they make serial killers look like saints by comparison.

10 Johngalli A Stalked Jolyne & Enforced DIO's Will After His Death

Johngalli A is blind but he uses his Stand to sniper his victims

Johngalli A was DIO's disciple and loyal henchman. Ever since the vampire's death, he became obsessed with revenge against the Joestar family.

As a result, Jolyne's imprisonment was an extreme stroke of fortune for him since it meant that he could more easily assassinate her. Given his long-ranged Stand and connections within the facility, he had a number of opportunities to end her life. His actions were especially barbaric since Jolyne never actually wronged him - John only wanted to kill her in order to cause Jotaro suffering.

9 Anjuro Was A Malicious Serial Killer That Haunted Morioh

Anjuro in Diamond Is Unbreakable.

As a serial killer, Anjuro already posed a threat to the town of Morioh. The acquisition of his "Aqua Necklace" Stand only made him more deadly. It allowed the villain to infiltrate bodies of water and kill his victims without ever entering their homes.

Unfortunately for him, his Stand was not long-ranged. As a result, Josuke easily revealed him after capturing it. Once exposed, Anjuro got fused with a boulder and forced to suffer a fate worse than death.

8 Yoshikage Kira Was A Mild-Mannered Man With A Dark Secret

Yoshikage Kira activating Bites the Dust in Diamond is Unbreakable.

Yoshikage Kira was an even greater threat to Morioh than Anjuro. Not only was his Stand stronger, but he was also noticeably smarter and better equipped. As a result, the villain managed to avoid both Jotaro and Josuke by assuming a new identity.

He used his disguise in order to emotionally manipulate his victim's wife into falling for him. However, Kira did not learn his lesson from nearly being caught, and it was only a matter of time before the savage killings began again.

7 Cheap Trick Was A Rogue Stand Bent On Killing Its User

Cheap Trick

Cheap Trick was a rogue Stand that killed its first user. However, that would not be the end of its reign of terror. Since it transfers to whoever looks at its previous host's back, the monster had plenty of fresh victims to prey upon.

Unlike Anubis, Cheap Trick did not kill its targets for the sake of freedom - it just enjoyed the suffering it caused and its targets' final moments of fear. It could also not be physically removed since it fuses with its host.

6 Gray Fly Was A Mass Murderer Who Killed For Fun

gray fly

Gray Fly was a bitter old man who used his Stand in order to cause widespread chaos. His preferred method was to attack victims on planes, boats, buses, and other means of transportation. Since they were in a relatively confined space, there was no place to escape from him.

When confronted by Jotaro and his crusaders, Gray Fly hoped to use nearby civilians as leverage. Although Star Platinum was strong, there was no way to attack him without innocent casualties. Fortunately, Kakyoin's "Hierophant Green" managed to kill the villain without damaging the plane or its passengers.

5 Diavolo Was A Ruthless Kingpin Willing To Kill His Own Daughter

Diavolo with pink hair and a fishnet shirt in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

Diavolo was a man devoid of conscience. He would do anything in order to protect his criminal empire, including selling drugs to children, hiring mass-murdering psychopaths, and even killing his own daughter out of fear that she might expose his identity.

To make matters worse, Diavolo's reckless use of the Stand arrow created hundreds of super-powered mobsters who could more easily exploit the weak. In the end, only Giorno's evolved Stand was strong enough to defeat him.

4 Kars Had A Straightforward Idea Of What It Meant To Be Evil

Ultimate Kars

Kars' obsession with becoming the ultimate being resulted in a complete lack of empathy. He had no qualms over killing his entire race or any humans who stood in his path.

Though presenting himself as honorable, Kars did not hesitate to betray the terms of his duel with Lisa Lisa before cutting her down. While there was no moral defense for his actions, it was already too late. Stroheim accidentally empowered the red stone with UV light, transforming him into an unbeatable monster.

3 Alessi Was A Jarring Villain Who Targeted Civilians & Preyed On Children

alessi reaches for his victim

Alessi was easily the most disturbing minor villain in the series. In addition to his overall creepy demeanor, he would only attack after his Stand converted his opponents into children.

The villain's creepy comportment suggests a darker aspect of his psychology that the series mercifully chose not to explore. Though commanding relatively little presence in the overarching storyline, Alessi was still evil enough not only to turn an innocent woman into a fetus but to also use her as leverage to bring Polnareff out of hiding.

2 Cioccolata Did Unspeakable Things To His Victims

Anime Secco and Cioccolata

Cioccolata was an evil villain with a keen interest in tormenting his victims. His "Green Day" Stand affected a wide area and could reduce targets to viscous sludge. Its power was so vile that even Diavolo hesitated to call on him.

Perhaps Cioccolata's most alarming feature is his companion, Secco. Having once been Cioccolata's victim, Secco was tortured so profusely that he started behaving like a wild animal. Before long, he became Cioccolata's most esteemed accomplice, helping to both facilitate and record his numerous atrocities. While GIorno put an end to the villain's life, he already caused a disturbing number of casualties.

1 DIO's Legacy Lasts Well After His Death

Dio Brando with an evil smirk on his face

While not as directly unnerving as Alessi or Cioccolata, DIO is responsible for many more deaths and hundreds of years of suffering. In addition to making Jonathan's life a nightmare, he destroyed most of the Crusaders and continued to harass the Joestar family through his army of devoted successors.

DIO's irresponsible use of the Stand arrow also created many more ill-deserving villains like Steely Dan and J. Geil. His eagerness to claim Jonathan's body even shows disrespect for the laws of nature itself.
