Josuke Higashikata was the main protagonist to act four of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, possessing many unique qualities yet seen in any hero before or since. His Shining Diamond Stand can deconstruct or rearrange anything it touches, skilled enough even to heal any human body except his own.

Though this may not seem particularly viable in combat, he has used it on a number of occasions to defeat the many new threats cropping up across Morioh. By analyzing how well he would fare against the cast of My Hero Academia, fans can determine how well his hometown is actually protected.

10 Could Beat: Mr. Compress

Mr. compress in mha

Mr. Compress is one of the most dangerous members of the League of Villains. A single touch can condense his opponents into marbles, and he can carry large objects through this technique to be deployed as ranged projectiles with expedience.

However, considering that Josuke could deconstruct whatever the evildoer throws at him (such as a gigantic boulder), it would not be a particularly effective means of taking him down. Moreover, Compress is a sloppy fighter (demonstrated through his battle against Overhaul), entailing that he would not be able to touch Shining Diamond if the two fought.

9 Would Lose To: Thirteen

Thirteen using her Black Hole Quirk from the My Hero Academia anime.

One of the most underrated heroes in the anime, Thirteen can produce a vacuum as powerful as a black hole from her fingertips. Though she is usually purposed as a rescue hero, it renders her a capable combatant as well.

Since Josuke does not carry anything with him by which to plug the vacuum, he would be torn apart by it. He could not find a projectile to use against her in time, nor would he be able to use his Stand properly since he is being dragged.

8 Could Beat: Momo

Yaoyorozu from My Hero Academia looking determined.

Momo's "Creation" quirk allows her to make anything by pulling it out of her body. As a result, she is one of the most useful support heroes, especially since her talents compliment allies like Sato or Kaminari.

However, the physical items she produces are subject to disassembly by Shining Diamond. Since she cannot match Josuke's melee speed and is relatively helpless without the consistent usage of her quirk, she would have no means of defeating Higashikata or the immense striking power of his Stand.

7 Would Lose To: Edgeshot

Edgeshot in mha

Edgeshot's quirk enabled him to fold his body into a line so thin that he could disappear within the cornea of his opponent. After he had done this, he could severe the blood flow to their brain, thereby knocking them unconscious.

Though Shining Diamond may possess much of the same speed and strength as Jotaro's Star Platinum, it does not share his precision (demonstrated through the injuries he suffered against Keicho Nijimura). As a result, he could not prevent the hero from entering his body and defeating him without a fight.

6 Could Beat: Cementoss

Cementoss looking serious MHA

Cementoss was able to command the concrete around him, summoning dozens of dense layers to apprehend enemies or nullify attacks in the blink of an eye. This made him a decent pro hero and fantastic for certain tasks that require his distinct talents.

Unfortunately for him, Shining Diamond can deconstruct objects with such skill and decisiveness that he could disassemble a motorcycle and put it back together as Josuke was flying through the air. Therefore, his barriers should prove little challenge for the youth to overcome, making him vulnerable to the beating that ensues.

5 Would Lose To: Hawks

Dark-Hawks-in-Shadow-My-Hero-Academia

Hawks would be a particularly frustrating opponent for Josuke to fight since he could not efficiently retaliate against him. His Shining Diamond might be able to throw certain objects in hopes of obstructing the pro hero, but given the grace at which he can navigate the sky, few are destined to connect.

Meanwhile, Hawks is capable of lacerating Josuke with a flurry of feathers as sharp as steel. While Shining Diamond may be skilled enough to deflect some of them, it could not adequately defend against an attack from all directions.

4 Could Beat: Suneater

Suneater MHA

A member of the Big Three, Suneater could assume the qualities of whatever he ate. This gave him a versatile arsenal by which to apprehend his opponents, including powerful tentacles, sharp talons, and other similar effects.

However, he does not share Higashikata's striking speed, nor his precision or creativity with attacks. Consequently, though Suneater may have the strength to defend against Josuke, his reflexes are not keen enough in order to anticipate his punches and deflect them efficiently. This would result in an unfortunately lopsided battle in the Morioh resident's favor.

3 Would Lose To: Shinso

Hitoshi During The Sports Festival MHA

When considering how Josuke might fare against Shinso, his personality becomes relevant to the result. Higashikata is unable to resist shouting down those who insult his hair no matter the cost, as demonstrated through his fight against Rohan Kishibe.

Therefore, should Shinso disparage it in passing, the Stand user could not help but to rebuke him. It would immediately put him under the aspiring hero's hypnotic sway, and considering that Shining Diamond is unable to break him from the trance, he would have no means of winning the fight.

2 Could Beat: Overhaul

Overhaul's diverse arsenal of attacks make him a treacherous opponent. He can kill his enemies in a single touch, heal himself, and erect gigantic spikes to skewer those who oppose his ends.

Unfortunately for him, Josuke is virtually a perfect counter to his skills. His Shining Diamond is fast enough to dismantle his earthen attacks before they connect (which is imperative his success since he cannot dodge them), and his Stand is fast enough to avoid the explosive punches of Deadly Queen. Therefore, he should be able to navigate Kai's rapacious reach and beat him down before he can mend his wounds.

1 Would Lose To: All For One

All for one with purple background

Unfortunately for Josuke, All For One's utilities are a remarkable counter to his own. When activating multiple quirks, he is the physical equal of All Might and can force his opponent forward through his shadowy tendrils.

Though Higashikata still has an advantage in raw speed, the crime lord's shock inversion would turn his own power against him. Since he cannot heal himself from the damage inflicted, it would be a critical mistake that would cost him the fate of their fight— and, most likely, his Stand.
