10 Gold Experience Requiem - 9.2

Starting off this list is the second to last episode of Golden Wind. After stabbing himself with the arrow, Giorno Giovanna basically transcended into a godlike being. Having the immeasurable power of Gold Experience Requiem, he has the power of reversing everything that happens to him as well as giving Diavolo an eternal hell where he dies repeatedly.

On top of that, viewers are able to have closure with the characters that have passed away with the first part of the Sleeping Slaves arc which takes place just before Giorno met Bucciarati.

9 The Requiem Quietly Plays, Part 2  - 9.3

After switching bodies as a result of Silver Chariot Requiem, the team in new forms, regroup in order to reobtain the stand arrow from the autonomous stand.

Filled with tension such as the Diavolo personality being present even when Doppio dies in Bucciarati's body, it all comes to a head with the death of Narancia which is incredibly gripping. The emotion of the scene is so powerful as it resonates for the rest of the series. One of the best episodes in the season easily.

8 King Of Kings - 9.3

The climax for the chase of the stand arrow, by manipulating the body of Mista (whose soul currently has Trish), Diavolo was successful in obtaining the Arrow. However, thanks to the efforts of Bucciarati's spirit and possibly the Stand Arrow not deeming Diavolo worthy, the arrow came to Giorno.

Choosing him to be worthy of the power of the arrow. Giorno obtains the new stand, Gold Experience Requiem and viewers get to see the effects of the Stand in its entirety, which is an animation spectacle to say the least.

7 The Grateful Dead, Part 1 - 9.4

The first part of "The Grateful Dead" has two antagonists of note: Pesci and Prosciutto. Viewers are given the chance to see the relationship between the veteran Prosciutto and insecure Pesci, which is nothing short of fantastic.

With Proscuittio's stand ability to turn everything old, it is an episode full of tension as the Golden Wind cast gets weaker and weaker as time passes. Meanwhile, Pesci has the stand ability known as Beach Boy, which looks like a fishing rod but has the ability to go through anything.

6 The Grateful Dead, Part 2 - 9.4

Bucciarati Pesci face off

The thrilling second half of "The Grateful Dead" takes place after the supposed death of Prosciutto thanks to Bruno Buciarrati's efforts, Pesci's resolve exploded. Turning from a weak-minded individual to a killer that's arguably an even worse threat than Prosciutto.

This has not only given him a boost of confidence, but it allows Pesci to use the full power of his stand ability. With a battle of Buciarrati and Pesci that lasts almost the entire episode, ending with one of the most satisfying Stand rushes in the series, as well as being the most brutal.

5 The Final Mission From The Boss - 9.4

The last order was given from Diavolo to deliver Trish to the bell tower in San Giorgio Maggiore. Taking Trish and protecting her is Bucciarati, where viewers finally learn about Bucciarati's past and motivation. About how he was once a poor fisherman along with his two parents who divorced over time.

After that, it all ends with a climax back to the present, where Bucciarati first fights against the boss, Diavolo, who proceeds to outclass him and impale Bucciarati with the fist of King Crimson. One of the most powerful stands in the series.

4 His Name Is Diavolo - 9.5

Unknowingly leading Doppio to the Colosseum as a result of Bucciarati's slowly degenerating body, fans learn that the mysterious character holding the key to stopping Diavolo is none other than the Stardust Crusader, Jean Pierre Polnareff. Showing the first full appearance of Diavolo in all his pink-haired glory.

Viewers learn about the origins of Diavolo, what happened to Polnareff after all these years and also learn about the use of the stand arrow. Along with how powerful and different it is compared to the arrows in previous parts.

3 King Crimson Vs. Metallica - 9.5

One of the most thrilling fights in both the season and potentially the whole series, viewers are greeted to a fight with Doppio and La Squadra's leader Risotto. Doppio is the split personality of the more powerful Diavolo and as such, isn't able to bring out King Crimson's most powerful ability.

Meanwhile, Risotto's Metallica is one of the most versatile and gruesome stands in the series. With only the secondary stand Epitaph, which can tell the future and King Crimson's arms to aid him.

2 The Mystery Of King Crimson - 9.5

Extremely weakened as a result of the killing blows from King Crimson, the viewers are shown even more what King Crimson is truly capable of. With the ability to skip forward in time, the animation done truly highlights how much of a disadvantage Bucciarati actually is.

Creating one of the most memorable scenes in the entire series and definitely one of the most thrilling things. This along with the final choice of facing off against Diavolo and leaving Fugo behind, is one of the hardest choices the team has ever made.

1 Beneath A Sky On The Verge Of Falling - 9.6

One of the most heart-wrenching moments in the entire season, it first begins with the aftermath of Doppio and Risotto. Afterwards, the tension starts to spike up as Abbachio's Moody Blues slowly uncovers the face of Diavolo through a statue in Sardinia.

After a trial of events such as the discovery of a missing child, Abbachio is killed by the power of King Crimson. However, just before he dies, he leaves an imprint that shows Diavolo's face. This is simply one of the most tragic and heartfelt moments ever in the entire franchise, and that's why it deserves the top spot.
