Following the events of Stardust Crusaders, it seems that Hirohiko Araki was starting to find his footing when it came to his writing as a mangaka. Case in point with the constant evolution of his main title, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. With the quality of his writing to his artistic style, it seems like Araki is becoming his own. Reaching his peak by part 7 and 8.

A lot of this can be shown with his characters and how beautifully he meshes the musical references to the characters in a way that is recognizable. Case in point, Bucciarati's gang. As such, specifically for part 5, here is the Bucciarati gang and their stands' musical references.

7 Trish Una

Trish Una looks concerned (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure).

Trish Una was the main objective for Bucciarati's gang and is also the daughter of the boss Diavolo. Just like any other Jojo character from part 4 onwards, she has plenty of designs that are inspired by music. Her main outfit for example is based on the woman from the album Around the world in a day by Prince.

However, this also extends her stand Spice Girls. Named after the band of the same name, the battle cry that her stand yells out is a reference to their debut single Wannabe. Not only is this fitting for Trish's character as Spice Girl was known for girl power. But the stand cry of Wannabe, a debut single, is also a reference to Trish Una getting her stand for the first time.

6 Pannacotta Fugo

Anime JoJo Golden Wind Fugo Determined

Pannacotta Fugo is a character known for his anxiety and hot temper. While also being one of the most intelligent characters out of the roster. His increasingly hot temper extends to his stand Purple Haze, which is known to release a virus within capsules in its fists while also being highly unstable.

This instability and the character of Fugo extends to the song Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix, which focuses on the concept of being in a daze while the song is also often associated with acid culture.

5 Narancia Ghirga

Narancia Ghirga is one of the rougher members of Bucciarati's gang, while also being one of the most child-like as well. Although in spite of this, he always tries his best for his friends and also tries to make up for his lack of proper education. His stand is called Aerosmith which is based on the band of the same name.

Although it isn't fully confirmed, the name of Aerosmith is a reference to someone producing hot air, or air into sound. Whatever is the meaning, it would explain why Narancia's stand is a plane.

4 Leone Abbacchio

Abbacchio is killed by Emperor Crimson in a time skip

Leone Abbacchio is the oldest member of Bucciarati's gang and is arguably one of the most cynical. Thanks to his troubled past, he does his very best to atone all the way to the end. This is especially shown through his stand Moody Blues, which allows him to rewind any event and broadcast it like a replay. Essentially making it the perfect detective utility tool.

Moody Blues is based on the band of the same name. Not only that, but the bands' album cover of Days Of Future Passed could be a reference to the replay ability of the stand, due to the art depicting an entire day from dawn to night.

3 Guido Mista

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's Mista.

Guido Mista is either one of the luckiest or unluckiest people out of the entire gang depending on who the reader asks. As arguably one of the many characters in this list that receives the most punishment regarding their injuries, Guido Mista is a laid back type of guy who doesn't let the world completely weigh him down.

He uses the somewhat decently powerful stand called Sex Pistols. Which is a reference to the band of the same name.

2 Bruno Bucciarati

Anime JoJo Golden Wind Bruno Bucciarati Salute

Bruno Bucciarati is the leader of the team and is also the secondary protagonist of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. Despite being a mobster, he always does his best for the benefit of his team. Even if it meant betraying the boss in favor of his personal beliefs.

One of the things that makes Bruno such a formidable character is his stand, Sticky Fingers. His stand has the ability to create zippers which can create a pocket dimension. The musical reference for Sticky Fingers is based on the Rolling Stones cover of the same name. The record version, in particular, had an actual zipper.

1 Giorno Giovanna

Giorno Giovanna and Golden Experience

Giorno Giovanna is the main protagonist of Golden Wind as well as being the main Jojo of part 5. As the son of DIO (in Jonathan Joestars body) and a Japanese woman, he had a terrible life until it was changed by an unnamed mobster. Now he tries his hardest in order to become a Gangstar.

This drive and heart are reflected onto his stand Gold Experience which allows him to create life itself. Gold Experience is named after the album cover of the same name by Prince. It is also indirectly linked to the song Gold from the musician.
