10 BETTER: Gyro & Johnny

Gyro and Johnny from Steel Ball Run

Gyro and Johnny were the main characters of Steel Ball Run. The two became the best of friends after overcoming several enemies together. Gyro was important to Johnny's development as a person.

Both of them helped each other all the time and they were excellent as a team. They cared about each other a lot, which was clear after Johnny gave up parts of the corpse to save Gyro's life. The two of them clearly looked like a proper duo.

9 WORSE: Jotaro & Kakyoin

Jotaro and Kakyoin from JoJo

Jotaro and Kakyoin were introduced in Stardust Crusaders and they started as enemies. Jotaro defeated Kakyoin and saved from being killed by DIO's flesh bud. The two of them were part of the Joestar group that traveled to Egypt to take down DIO and save Holly.

The fans were expecting Jotaro and Kakyoin to behave like a proper duo, but that never came to pass. The two left the fans disappointed as they barely interacted on their journey.

8 BETTER: Josuke & Okuyasu

Okuyasu crying

Next up on the list is the duo of Okuyasu and Josuke. The duo made a name for itself in Diamond is Unbreakable. The fans thoroughly enjoyed the duo whom bemused them with their antics. For many fans, the duo was very relatable as both Josuke and Okuyasu are high-school students.

In addition to their antics, the duo also teamed up to fight several opponents, and their best fight was against Shigechi. They also fought together against Yoshikage Kira and brought an end to his reign of terror.

7 WORSE: Messina & Loggins

Loggins and Messina from Battle Tendency

Messina and Loggins were working under Lisa Lisa in Venice. They were in charge of training Joseph and Caesar, and improve their control of Hamon. Messina and Loggins were decent fighters but they were nothing special. Loggins failed to defeat Esidisi and paid the price with his own life.

They did pick on Joseph and Caesar when they first arrived on the island, but that was about it. The duo of Giorno and Mista is absolutely clear.

6 BETTER: Jolyne & Foo Fighters

Jolyne and Foo Fighters from Part 6

Jolyne is the main protagonist of Stone Ocean and she's the daughter of Jotaro Kujo. Foo Fighters was a plankton colony that had taken over the body of one of the dead inmates. Foo Fighters owed their life to Jolyne who actually spared them despite being an enemy.

After joining Jolyne's team, Foo Fighters was heavily involved in many fights. The duo of Jolyne and Foo Fighters overcame many strong enemies together until the latter's untimely death.

5 WORSE: Squalo & Tiziano

Squalo and Tiziano from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

The duo of Squalo and Tiziano was introduced in Golden Wind. They were the first members of Diavolo's Special Squad to be shown in the series. They were sent by Diavolo to take out Bruno's gang before they could reach their destination, which was Rome. Squalo and Tiziano formed a rather impressive combo and they proved to be a real nuisance for Bruno and co.

Squalo and Tiziano used their stands to cause disarray among the group. The two of them cared a lot about each other and it was evident on many occasions. Tiziano sacrificed himself to allow Squalo to retrieve his stand. The duo just falls short of Mista and Giorno.

4 BETTER: Hot Pants & Diego

Hot Pants and Diego defeated

Hot Pants and Diego Brando decided to team up against Funny Valentine. The two of them wanted to take down Valentine on their own and take the corpse. This might've surprised a few fans at first, but Hot Pants and Diego made for an excellent team.

They gave Funny Valentine something to think about; if it weren't for Valentine's D4C and Lucy's Ticket to Ride, they might have managed to defeat the President. In the end, Hot Pants and Diego were killed by Funny Valentine.

3 WORSE: Poco Loco & Hey Ya!

Pocoloco from Steel Ball Run

Poco Loco joined Steel Ball Run to try his luck. Poco Loco possessed Hey Ya! which was a very weak stand. The stand showed no physical ability whatsoever and it was just whispering things in Poco Loco's ear all the time.

Hey Ya! kept on saying words of encouragement to Poco Loco and it paid dividends as Poco Loco won the race. The duo's lack of interaction and involvement in any fight puts them below Giorno and Mista.

2 BETTER: Joseph & Caesar

Caesar and Joseph Joestar

Joseph and Caesar are easily among the most adored duos in the series. They were introduced in Battle Tendency. Joseph was the grandson of Jonathan Joestar and Ceasar was the grandson of Will Anthonio Zeppeli.

Early in the series, both of them were at each other's throats and they didn't get along at all, however, all of that changed when Joseph confronted the Pillar Men on his own. They trained together which further solidified their bond and they respected each other a lot.

1 WORSE: Magenta Magenta & Wekapipo

Wekapipo - YouTube

Magenta Magenta and Wekapipo were sent by Funny Valentine to stop Gyro and Johnny. From the first instance, it seemed that neither Magenta Magenta nor Wekapipo were fond of working together.

Both of them were too different, which made them very dysfunctional as a duo. Wekapipo was more than happy to leave Magenta Magenta to die.
