The sixth protagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is the punkish heroine Jolyne Cujoh, who must fight for her freedom in the Green Dolphin Street prison and save her father Jotaro's life. Jolyne is no ordinary inmate. She is also a Stand user, and she wields a remarkable Stand named Stone Free.
Jolyne's Stand is a humanoid melee fighter, like Star Platinum, but that's not all. It can also unravel into string, allowing Jolyne to form string barriers, slip through narrow spaces and even grab enemies from afar and capture them, not unlike Spider-Man. Now, Jolyne must fight not only enemy Stand users, but also a wider variety of anime fighters in the Green Dolphin facility. She can beat most of them, but a few enemies are too strong, even for her.
10 CAN DEFEAT: Darkness Would Enjoy Getting Beaten Up (Konosuba)
For Jolyne Cujoh, a goofy isekai adventurer like the crusader Darkness is just a warmup. Perhaps Darkness finally went too far and got herself arrested, and now she is incarcerated alongside Jolyne. And only one of them can escape this prison.
Darkness would challenge Jolyne as per her crusader honor, but the fight would turn silly rather quickly. Darkness would love getting tied up and humiliated by Stone Free's tough strings, and she would savor that Stands' many punches to her durable body.
9 CAN'T DEFEAT: Milim Nava Is Simply Too Strong (That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime)
Despite her youthful appearance and goofy troublemaker personality, Milim Nava stands among the strongest Reincarnated as a Slime characters of all, and she's certainly the most powerful female character in that series. She is among the oldest and most powerful Demon Lords, and she's proven it more than once.
Milim's speed, strength, and durability are many times greater than that of Stone Free, Star Platinum, or any other Stand. In addition, Milim can take flight with her bat-like wings and launch the devastating Drago Nova attack, whether or not she's in her dragonoid form. Jolyne will be wiped out in a hurry.
8 CAN DEFEAT: Inosuke Hashibira Can't Cut Stone Free (Demon Slayer)
If Stone Free were a demon using blood arts, then Inosuke Hashibira the slayer would have no trouble defeating it. He could use his twin Nichirin blades to slice up its strings and destroy its body, but alas, Stone Free is a Stand, not a demon. Inosuke will learn the difference too late.
Stands are indestructible unless facing another Stand, and Inosuke certainly doesn't have a Stand of his own. So, Stone Free could easily tangle up Inosuke with its unbreakable strings and then deliver heavy punches to knock him out. Inosuke's swords can't protect him from such an assault.
7 CAN'T DEFEAT: Shikamaru Nara Can Use Shadow Possession Jutsu (Naruto)
If Stone Free got within melee range of Shikamaru Nara the tactical genius, Shikamaru would get beaten half to death in no time. That's the ideal scenario for Jolyne in this duel, but Shikamaru won't let it get to that point. He's got some tricks up his sleeve.
Jolyne is a smart and resourceful fighter, but Shikamaru is even more so, and he's got the shadow possession jutsu on his side. He could easily restrain Jolyne with his shadow and force Stone Free to go away, then blow Jolyne sky-high with his explosive ninja tags or just stab her with a kunai knife.
6 CAN DEFEAT: Kotaro Amon Didn't Train To Fight Stands (Tokyo Ghoul)
Kotaro Amon is a skilled and dedicated ghoul hunter who can use a variety of quinque in battle, and he once fought alongside Kureo Mado, whom he looked up to. Kotaro knows what he's doing, but if he fights a Stand user, he'll be totally out of his element.
CCG training prepared Kotaro to fight ghouls, not Stand users, and he won't get a chance to adjust. Jolyne could easily block Kotaro's quinque and capture him, then beat him into submission with Stone Free's fists.
5 CAN'T DEFEAT: Pride Is Indestructible (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)
Jolyne Cujoh would have a tough time against most of the homunculi in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, since they have supernatural abilities and can regenerate their wounds. She might restrain the melee warrior Greed or block Wrath's swords with her strings, but Pride is a different matter.
The shadowy Pride is the strongest homunculus, and his real body is a mass of shadows covered in eyes and hungry mouths. Not even a mighty Stand can fight a monster like this, and Jolyne would be forced to retreat before Pride can slash her apart.
4 CAN DEFEAT: Shota Aizawa Can't Neutralize Jolyne's "Quirk" (My Hero Academia)
Against most fighters in the My Hero Academia universe, Shota Aizawa/Eraserhead can use his Erasure Quirk to nullify his opponent's Quirk and gain a huge advantage, then restrain his opponent with a variety of traps and tools. Jolyne's "Quirk," however, is a different matter.
Stone Free might remind Aizawa of Dark Shadow, but it's not truly a Quirk, and thus Erasure won't have an effect on it. Aizawa must fight with his fists and tools, and that's not nearly enough to handle Stone Free's tricky strings and devastating punches. Eraserhead is going down.
3 CAN'T DEFEAT: Sho Kusakabe Can Stop Time (Fire Force)
In her own universe, DIO the vampire can freeze time with The World, and Jolyne's father, Jotaro, can do the same with Star Platinum after a point. This can turn any battle into a one-sided slaughter, and even if DIO isn't around, Jolyne must still fear this power.
Sho Kusakabe can use his ignition ability to cool the universe and stop time for everyone except for himself, then slash his foes to bits with his katana. Shinra narrowly survived thanks to Adolla Grace, but Jolyne will be helpless, and Sho will slice her head right off.
2 CAN DEFEAT: Lisanna Strauss' Magic Isn't Strong Enough (Fairy Tail)
Lisanna Strauss is the youngest of the three Strauss wizards, and like the other two, she can use Take Over magic to morph her body into other shapes. While Mirajane turns into a demon and Elfman becomes a monstrous brute, Lisanna models her magic after animals.
In battle, Lisanna can morph her arms into bird wings or assume a cat-girl form, among other combinations, but she lacks the sheer power to defeat a Stand user. She can't destroy Stone Free, and Stone Free can hold Lisanna at bay long enough for Jolyne to improvise a winning move.
1 CAN'T DEFEAT: Satoru Gojo Can Wield Infinity (Jujutsu Kaisen)
Satoru Gojo the sorcerer already ranks among the most powerful anime characters of all time, and even his strongest enemies fear him. He has enormous skill as a jujutsu sorcerer in melee combat, and when he uses his infinity powers and domain expansion, he's unstoppable.
Satoru's infinity power makes him untouchable, even to the strongest curses, and he can trap his foes in infinity if he so chooses. He could do this to Jolyne if their fight turns nasty and trap the Joestar heroine for all time. She's not getting out of this one.
