JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is known for its stands and it is considered one of the best powers in the anime-verse. There is a lot of history about stands and many mysteries about stands are yet to be resolved. We have seen stands being inherited by people or awakened with the help of the arrow.
There are different types of stands and they can be broadly classified into two types— long-range and close-range. The latter is the crux of the list. Close-range stands are the most common type of stands and as the name suggests, these stands have a short effective range. There are other variants of close-range stands, but in this post, we will be solely focusing on pure close-range stands.
10 Kiss
Kiss is the stand of Jolyne's best mate in Green Dolphin Street Prison, Hermes. The stand has incredible stats and it is one of the stands that I would have liked to see more in the series. Besides possessing tremendous power in close quarters, Kiss has another ability that comes in really handy in sticky situations. The stand is able to create stickers and when the sticker is placed on an object, it creates a copy of the object. If Hermes removes the sticker, the two copies merge and end up getting damaged in the process.
9 Sticky Fingers
This is one of the things that makes Bruno Bucciarati the coolest Capo to ever exist. Sticky Fingers is a close-range stand that was revealed in Golden Wind. The stand could be considered among the finest stands in the series. Sticky Fingers has great offensive power and an additional ability to create zippers on any surface. It just needs to make contact with the surface to create a zipper. Bruno is able to handle his stand pretty well.
8 Stone Free
Jolyne is the daughter of Jotaro Kujo and she is the protagonist of Stone Ocean. It is the sixth installment in the JoJo series. Jolyne's stand is Stone Free and it provides Jolyne with tremendous attack power. Stone Free's punches are said to exert a force that is equivalent to that of a small meteor moving at an extremely fast speed. Adding to its destructive power, Stone Free also allows Jolyne to unravel parts of her body like string. This decreases the power of her attacks, but it increases the range of her attacks. So, she has to sacrifice for the other.
7 Weather Report
Weather Report remained an enigmatic character for most of Part 6. His past was finally revealed when he got his memory disc back from Pucci. Weather Report was actually the brother of Enrico Pucci. Pucci sealed his stand ability, due to it being very dangerous. The stand is able to manipulate weather over a specific area, which is a powerful ability in itself, however, Weather Report is blessed with another ability that is much powerful than its normal ability. It is called Heavy Weather and it works with subliminal messages and it is almost impossible to defend against this ability.
6 Killer Queen
Yoshikage Kira might not famous within Morioh, but he's definitely very famous among JoJo fans. Yoshikage Kira is arguably the best antagonist in the series so far and he was one of the few good things about Diamond is Unbreakable. Kira's stand is Killer Queen and it makes people bite the dust in style. Adding to its already great offensive power, Killer Queen can turn anyone it touches into a bomb. It requires the slightest touch to kill any person. After being pierced by the arrow, it almost became an invincible stand.
5 Crazy Diamond
The first thing that comes to mind when Crazy Diamond is mentioned is "Gureito." The stand belongs to Josuke Higashikata from Diamond Is Unbreakable. The stand has incredible strength and speed. It can be compared to Star Platinum, which is a similar stand. Crazy Diamond is able to move at light speed and when that speed is combined with its already amazing strength, Josuke was easily able to match Jotaro's Star Platinum(albeit Jotaro had not used it in a fight for many years).
4 King Crimson
Diavolo is probably still out there being killed in several ways, all thanks to Giorno Giovanna. Diavolo is the antagonist of Golden Wind, who suffers in the worst possible way. He was the leader of Passione and the user of one of the strongest stands in JoJo. King Crimson has two unique abilities— time erasure and epitaph. Diavolo is able to erase time for a few seconds and with the help of epitaph, he can predict the future. Diavolo's stand is very impressive and if Giorno hadn't managed to get his hands on the arrow, Diavolo would have reigned supreme.
3 The World
DIO is one of the most iconic villains in the world of anime. DIO caused problems for the Joestar bloodline until Part 6. He was involved in almost every part. DIO's stand, The World, is capable of stopping time for a few seconds. DIO was confident that if he managed to beat Jotaro, he would eventually reach the pinnacle of his powers where he could have stopped time infinitely. However, DIO's dream was cut short by the intervention of Jotaro. Jotaro used the power of bad writing to overcome DIO and end his reign of terror.
2 Star Platinum
Jotaro Kujo is one of the main characters in JJBA. He is the grandson of Joseph Joestar and the father of Jolyne Kujo. Jotaro Kujo possesses the Star Platinum, which ranks among the strongest stands in the series. Star Platinum is incredibly quick, powerful and precise. The abilities of the stand have been put on display many times throughout the series. Star Platinum can stop time just like The World. After beating DIO, Jotaro never really utilized his stand any further. In Part 6, Star Platinum was able to stop time for five seconds.
1 Gold Experience Requiem
There wasn't really any doubt that Gold Experience Requiem would finish at the top of the list. Gold Experience Requiem is the stand of Giorno Giovanna. It is the evolved form of Gold Experience, and it is much better than its previous form in every way. This stand is the definition of overpowered. It can revert any action to zero, so attacking it is futile. Even Diavolo's time erasure could not save him from his impending doom. Gold Experience Requiem is without a doubt the strongest stand in the entire series.
