Popular anime JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has become quite a phenomenon in recent years. While a pioneer for early Shonen Jump action, the series has only recently broken the zeitgeist on a global scale due to its high run of new anime. Each series built from and grew more bizarre than the last, as the spirit of JoJo's stoic nature would literally manifest itself in stranger ways each season.

That is especially the case with the series' recent exploitation of animation budgets, as JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind more than exceeded expectations with its story, action quality, Italian-ness, and, much to the joy of the internet, its meme worthiness.

In reward and culmination of all that JoJo's Italian branch has brought fans, this list will be running down some of the pretty hilarious memes that it inspired.

10 Abbachio, How Do You Feel?

Abbachio in the series is a pretty okay guy overall. He has one of the most detailed and heart-wrenching backstories of the cast and his loyalty to the group is absolutely admirable. Overall, he can come off as a pretty chill and agreeable guy...except when it comes to Giorno.

Like any loyal watchdog to their home and master, Abbachio is constantly on the alert and ever skeptical about a new member.

9 First Vs. Second Halves of Golden Wind

The first half of watching this series is like watching anime for the very first time, i.e. it was like being introduced to weird Japanese cultural tropes for the very first time. For anyone purely watching for the references and memes, this portion certainly did not disappoint.

However, that optimistic beginning and surreal humor was only a trap, as the second half jumps the unsuspecting viewers. Episode after episode is filled with tension and sadness, as everyone just wishes for the days of dancing and licking eyeballs to come back.

8 "Golden Wind"

Many praises for those who not only stick to the original Japanese dubbing with subs but also, without question or anyone really asking, only refer to the series by its original Japanese name.

There's the good fight. However, the battle ever rages on with Golden Wind. Call it "Golden Wind"? Get out of here normie. Call it "Ougan no Kaze"? Are you really a fan? Only true fans who pretend to know Italian can refer to this series by its real name...

7 In Just Two Frames

It's impressive that new minds aren't being blown away with just two. Just watching the season in its entirety is like watching Hirohiko Araki throw darts at a board of household pictures and call it world-building.

It's a roller coaster of visual texture and primal sounds that somehow coalesces into a comprehensive story. If there was ever a way to summarize the series, these two frames do break down the bare essentials. 1) JoJo, watch out, there's a secret stand. 2) Everyone! Get in the turtle.

6 Just Use Your Stand

Narancia is a weird kid. He's the overly excited, young mind and hoodlum of Bucciarati's group whose main tools for articulation are punching and kicking. He's a rabid one, to say the least, but he certainly does offer a consistent role in the group.

His stand offers a variety of long-distance attacking and scouting potential that the series makes plenty of use of. It's a shame, however, that the person using it can sometimes forget that he has magic powers. Why do any of the people in this series even have weapons? What are guns and knives gonna do to a guy who can create life?

5 Spoilers: Without Context

Golden Wind has certainly become one of the franchise's most memorable and iconic seasons. Who could forget female Squidward's ever tragic backstory or her sacrifices to the group at large? Or how about that one time Patrick had to fight an invisible stand?

Of course, Spongebob losing his arm and the creepy zipper into an abyss episodes were plenty iconic to a series that constantly seeks to increase the stakes and absurdity.

4 We Time Traveled

JoJo in its entirety has a strong yet increasingly obsessive affinity for time-based villains. Dio's The World certainly provided the Stardust Crusaders with difficult and flexible obstacles, and Kira's Killer Queen was just plain unfair.

Golden Wind continues the tradition with King/Emperor Crimson, a monstrous stand with the ability to erase a few seconds of time, jumping those around it to the near future. While certainly a nightmare to Giorno's group, as they scrambled to discover and work around it, such power would also play an unwitting hand in making actual time travel even more confusing and convoluted than it already is.

3 Well, Ya Got Me

In all fairness, if it wasn't for X-Men's Magneto, nobody will really know this fact or, at least, not know it well enough to understand what was happening in this scene. Plus, Risotto's power overall is just an incredibly strange and all too specific one.

Not only can he make manipulate iron, but he can turn it into various objects, mostly office supplies. Anyone who was able to just decipher it mid-battle deserves some credit, even if they are the dissociative, murderous boss of a drug-peddling gang.

2 New Boss, Who Dis?

This right here is perfectly encapsulating and blending two very different and hilarious aesthetics into one, grand inside joke to the fandom.

Giorno's entire energy at the end of the season just screamed power and attitude, whereas Doppio's crazed reaction is not only spot on but finely detailed to have both men answering to inanimate objects. It is a story in two frames to match the raw attitude and strangeness of the series as a whole.

1 When An Enemy Tries to Gain an Advantage

If there's anything for the fans to remember and ever immortalize out of the season, it would be "Giorno's Theme" (as it has been so rightly named and generalized by the community). Not only is the music just catchy and overall a banger of a hit, but it also captures the things-are-about-to-go-down mood of the ensuing scene.

Not even just that! This song can encapsulate any action turn for any series, as its tone and rising sound match the very cadences of a shifting tide and the turning of tables. It just goes to show: If things are going south, just play Giorno's theme.
