Star Platinum is the Stand of Jotaro Kujo. The Stand was first introduced in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. Despite debuting so early on in the series, Star Platinum remains one of the strongest Stands in the series.
It has incredible agility and packs a mean punch. In addition to the aforementioned qualities, the Stand can also stop time for a minimum of five seconds. All these abilities make it nigh impossible to defeat Star Platinum in a fight, yet there are some Stands that are capable of supplanting it.
10 BETTER: DIRTY DEEDS DONE DIRT CHEAP
The Stand belongs to Funny Valentine. It is a Stand fitting for the villain of arguably the best JoJo part. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt or simply D4C is capable of traveling to other dimensions. All the user needs to do is to get caught between two objects and then the Stand can weave its magic.
The Stand almost makes Funny Valentine immortal because he can replace his damaged body with an otherworldly version of himself. Also, if he brings an otherworld version of some other person and if the two come too close, they will fuse with each other and thus, die.
9 WORSE: CRAZY DIAMOND
Crazy Diamond is the Stand of Josuke Higashikata. The Stand has power and speed that is comparable to a rusty Star Platinum. It also has the ability to restore objects; it can also revert objects back to their raw form.
Furthermore, the Stand is capable of fusing objects together. Crazy Diamond is by no means a weak Stand, but Star Platinum has more speed, strength and it can even stop time.
8 BETTER: TUSK
Tusk is the Stand of Johnny Joestar. It is among the few Stands that have several forms or "acts." The strongest form of Tusk is Act 4. In Act 4, Tusk 4 has the appearance of a humanoid. It managed to overwhelm D4C in close combat, albeit it might fail to do so versus Star Platinum.
The Stand's strongest attack is the fingernail that is powered by the Golden Spin. A single fingernail fired has infinite energy; it will relentlessly attack its target unless the target dies. There is one way to cancel the effect of the attack and that is for Johnny to fire another fingernail but with the opposite spin.
7 WORSE: OASIS
This Stand is eccentric, just like its user. Oasis does not appear as a humanoid Stand, but it appears as a suit for Secco to wear. The Stand suit increases the power and speed of its user.
Oasis also has the ability to liquefy ground; the liquefied state only remains for as long as Secco touches it, it reverts back to its solid-state once Secco is no longer in contact with it.
6 BETTER: MADE IN HEAVEN
Made in Heaven is the final form of Pucci's Whitesnake. The Stand evolved from Whitesnake after Pucci had found out about the requirements to improve his Stand.
Made in Heaven has the ability to increase the speed of time. The accelerated time only affects inanimate events and also affects the time stop ability of Star Platinum. Once time is sped up enough, a new universe can be created.
5 WORSE: KILLER QUEEN
Killer Queen is the Stand of Kira Yoshikage. It has the ability to turn anything that it touches into a bomb. The user can make the bomb go off at any time that they like. Killer Queen can also act as a long-range Stand with its Sheer Heart Attack.
The sub-Stand is not very accurate as it uses heat to decide the trajectory of its attack. Star Platinum fought against Killer Queen in Part 4, Diamond Is Unbreakable, and the latter was decimated in a matter of seconds.
4 BETTER: WEATHER REPORT
Weather Report is the Stand of...Weather Report. The Stand is capable of manipulating weather over a short distance. However, Weather Report also has another ability, one that is actually very dangerous: Heavy Weather.
It is almost impossible to defend against Heavy Weather; the only way to get rid of it is by killing Weather Report himself. Pucci found another way to dodge the effect of Heavy Weather and that is to turn oneself blind.
3 WORSE: FOO FIGHTERS
The Stand was created under extraordinary circumstances. Enrico Pucci wanted someone to protect the discs that he had stolen, so he tossed a Stand disc into the ocean filled with plankton and it led to the creation of Foo Fighters.
Since it is a hybrid, Foo Fighters is capable of entering the body of people and it can also heal others. The Stand is very reliant on water and it can easily die without the constant supply of water.
2 BETTER: THE WORLD
According to DIO, the World surpassed Jotaro's Star Platinum in terms of strength and speed. Both the Stands are akin to each other. There is not much difference between the two of them. But, it is fair to say that The World has more potential than Star Platinum.
The World's Time Stop ability is extremely powerful, allowing DIO to freeze time to up to nine seconds (at the time of his defeat).
1 WORSE: SILVER CHARIOT
Polnareff's Silver Chariot is very agile and can match the movement of most Stands. Silver Chariot's speed can be increased further if Polnareff decides to shed its armor, however, this also makes it very prone to taking damage.
Silver Chariot has been bested by a lot of Stands that are considerably weaker than Star Platinum, so the winner here is pretty obvious. It would make for an interesting battle pitting speed versus strength, although Star Platinum is not exactly a slouch in the former area either.
