Giorno Giovanna was still a kid when he decided that he would change the mafia of Italy, and he actually did manage to do it. Giorno was aided by Bucciarati's gang. He certainly is an interesting character and so, in this post, we will be discussing ten things that you might've not known about Giorno Giovanna.

10 Araki's Top 5

Giorno and Mista from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

Giorno Giovanna is a fan favorite without a shadow of a doubt. Back in 2000, Araki revealed the list of his favorite ten characters in JoJo. In that list, Araki ranked Giorno on the 5th spot.

Giorno's friends— Mista and Bucciarati finished 7th and 3rd respectively. It is fair to say that Araki has liked Giorno a lot and it would definitely have been difficult for him to rank his ten favorite characters considering the huge number of characters that Araki has created.

9 Part Of Shonen Manga History

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is known for having some of the best fights in Shonen history. One such fight was the one between Giorno and Cioccolata. In the volume release that featured Giorno vs Cioccolata, Araki had drawn two extra pages.

However, the double-page spread was not a part of the Shonen Jump version. In JOJO A-GO-GO!, it has been stated that it was actually the first time in the history of shonen manga that there was a beatdown that was lasted for seven pages. So, with this Giorno became a part of history all thanks to Araki.

8 Hairstyle

It is not unknown to the fans of the fandom that Araki really liked Golden Wind. After the publication of part 5 finished, Araki released JOJO A-GO-GO!!. This book features illustrations from every part up to Golden Wind. Most of the illustrations are from part 3 and part 5. Giorno's hairstyle is related to chocolate cornets.

The "@@@" is actually a reference to the peculiar hairstyle that Giorno has and it is used a lot by the Japanese fans to refer Giorno Giovanna. It is their way of showing their appreciation towards Giorno.

7 Respect For DIO

Surprisingly, Giorno had a lot of respect for his real father who was Dio Brando. DIO's reputation wasn't the best by any means, but Giorno had respect for him. In Golden Wind, it was shown that Giorno had a picture of DIO in his wallet and carried it with him everywhere he went.

Giorno never met him, and maybe if he did meet him, he would never respect him. Giorno never found out that he was related to the Joestar Bloodline as DIO had actually conceived him in Jonathan's body.

6 Like Father Like Son

Giorno Giovanna's resemblance to DIO is clearly visible once Giorno starts to fight. Giorno is a stand user as well and whenever he starts beating up people with the help of his stand, he uses his father's battle cry, that is, "MudaMudaMuda." Giorno also used "WRYYY" during his fight vs Cioccolata.

These two things just confirm that Giorno is really the son of one of the evilest people to ever exist. However, since Giorno has the blood of Jonathan Joestar flowing through his veins, he is not malevolent and instead he wants to make the world a better place to live in.

5 Powerful Stand

Giorno Giovanna is one of the strongest characters in anime history, and it is all because of his stand. Originally Giorno's stand was Gold Experience. However, the stand's power was not enough to beat Diavolo's King Crimson. So, Giorno had to evolve his stand in order to stand a chance against King Crimson.

He finally managed to take the abilities of his stand to the next level with help from Polnareff. The evolved version of Gold Experience is called Gold Experience Requiem. It is undoubted one of the strongest stands in the series and it makes Giorno almost untouchable.

4 One Of The Many

Unsurprisingly, DIO conceived many children with other women. Giorno Giovanna is just one of the many children of DIO. In Part 6, it was confirmed that Giorno has at least three more half-brothers.

People who have read part 6 will know that Giorno's half-brothers are no pushovers and they have very powerful stands as well. However, it is unknown whether Giorno found out about their later on.

3 Path Of Righteousness

Giorno's life was a complete mess until his encounter with a gangster. He had a ghastly childhood as he wasn't treated properly by his father nor his mother. Giorno was left distressed, but that changed when he helped to save a gangster. Giorno's stand subconsciously activated and helped the gangster to escape from his enemies.

The gangster felt indebted to him and from then on he changed Giorno's life. His father stopped beating him and the bullies stopped picking on him. This made Giorno realize that there is still good left in the world and hence, he made his mind up to become a "Gangstar."

Now, it is time to know about some of Giorno's favorites. First up is his favorite music artist. Giorno's favorite musician is the legendary Jeff Beck. Jeff Beck played with The Yardbirds at one point.
