What do you do when you find out your father has transformed into a monster an now runs a halfway house for people like him? Join him, naturally!

That's what cartoonist Kelly Yates suggests in his new digital comic series Monsther, distributed by Artist Alley Comics. In this recently launched series, young Eva Monst is just as clueless as you when she enters the world of monsters trying to reform themselves at her father's recovery house. In the #0 issue, we see one of the monsters attempting to guide the reader, as if a monster yourself, from going lapsing back into your monstrous ways.

Yates is a notable cartoonist on the comics scene, doing a trio of work on DC's heroes line before committing most of his work on IDW Publishing's growing line of Doctor Who books. In 2009 Yates did his first creator-owned series, Amber Atoms, at Image.

You can try out Monsther with a free #0 issue online and then follow it up with the 99-cent first isssue.
