Months after the addition of Dwayne Johnson to the cast of "Central Intelligence," Variety reports the buddy comedy will hit theaters on June 17, 2016.

"Central Intelligence" moves into a release date vacated by the thriller "The Nice Guys," which stars Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. Instead, Warner Bros. has announced that the Crowe/Gosling film will move up a month to May 20, 2016.

Johnson and Kevin Hart form the pair at the heart of this new comedy. Johnson will star as a bullied kid who has grown into a contract killer for the CIA. Hart will, of course, play the high school bully, who has transformed from a star athlete into a mild-mannered accountant.

Warner Bros. is hoping big names Hart and Johnson be enough to go up against Pixar's "Finding Dory," which also opens on June 17, 2016. Johnson can next be seen in "Furious 7," which opens on April 3. "Get Hard," Hart's next buddy comedy, co-starring Will Ferrell, opens on March 27.
