WWE Superstar Johnny Gargano celebrated Valentine's Day by bringing the X-Men's forgotten son to center stage during NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day.

Known for bringing popular Marvel characters to NXT TakeOver, Gargano chose an alternative timeline and deep-cut, Nate Grey, born out of 1995's X-Man #1, to face off against Kushida.

Gargano shared his getup on Twitter with the caption, "nXt-Man." He used Nate Grey's yellow and blue color scheme as inspiration for his look.

Gargano hinted at his gear choice for the wrestling event earlier in the day by sharing a comic still of Nate Grey on his Twitter.

Nate Grey originated in X-Man #1 as part of the reality-altering Age of Apocalypse event. He was born from the genetic material of Scott Summers and Jean Grey, secretly used/created by Mister Sinister -- while serving as a Horseman to Apocalypse. Similar to his mother, Nate Grey exhibited telekinetic powers and powerful telepathic capabilities. In other series runs, he showed healing powers and even the ability to travel between dimensions.

While wearing his X-Man-inspired gear, the WWE wrestler channeled omega-level mutant powers and beat Kushida to retain the NXT North American Championship.
