John Williams, the Academy Award-winning composer of scores for such films as Jaws, the Indiana Jones films, E.T. The Extra Terrestrial and Lincoln, is set to make his return to the Star Wars franchise, according to Starwars.com. Lucasfilm announced at Star Wars Celebration Europe this weekend that Williams will score Star Wars: Episode VII, which is due out in 2015.

Williams scored all six of the previous Star Wars films, creating many of the sounds we associate with the films -- including the iconic main title theme and the dreaded "Imperial March." He joins director J.J. Abrams, screenwriter Michael Arndt, and consultants Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg, on Star Wars: Episode VII. You can watch Starwars.com's interview with Williams below.
