As the composer to the soundtracks of all nine main Star Wars films, John Williams has established the musical identity of the space opera franchise and will do so again with the opening of Disney's Star Wars-inspired theme park expansion Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
Disney has released Williams' score for Galaxy's Edge, available to stream online or purchase through iTunes, Google Play and Amazon Music. Immediately recognizable with the musical leitmotifs of the rest of the iconic franchise, it further allows fans to immerse themselves in the world of Star Wars while providing something new as they visit the theme park expansion.
The score had first been unveiled last month at the spotlight panel for Galaxy's Edge at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago to enthusiastic response from the attendees.
Having served as the primary composer since the franchise's debut in 1977, Williams has since announced that his upcoming score for this December's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be his final work with the franchise.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland will open ahead of schedule on May 31, with the Galaxy's Edge featured in Disney World launching three months later on August 29.
