Ahead of production, Marvel Studios' Disney+ series Falcon and Winter Soldier has added a major creator to the mix.
According to The Wrap, John Wick creator Derek Kolstad has joined the writing team for Falcon and Winter Solider. Having crafted the ever-popular John Wick, Kolstad is a rather big get for the streaming service. Kolstad is also set to pen the Just Cause movie for Sony, as well as the Hitman television series.
Falcon and Winter Soldier will see Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprise their Marvel Cinematic Universe roles as Falcon and Winter Soldier respectively, with the former taking on the new title of Captain America following the events of Avengers: Endgame. Set to join the duo are Daniel Bruhl's Baron Zemo and Emily VanCamp's Sharon Carter.
The six-part limited series, which is expected to begin production this October, will be directed by veteran television director Kari Skogland, who has directed episodes of The Handmaid's Tale and NOS4A2 over the course of her nearly three-decade long career.
Directed by Kari Skogland, Falcon and Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan and will be released on Disney+. The series is expected to debut late next year.
