The first trailer for John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum is officially here.

Taking place almost immediately after the events of the second film, Parabellum finds Keanu Reeves' John Wick on the run in a city filled with assassins. He races against the clock, which ticks down the seconds until he becomes “Excommunicado,” and then engages in a fight for his very survival. The trailer reveals he eventually escapes New York City, as he can be seen trudging through the sands of a foreign desert.

Set to Frank Sinatra's "The Impossible Dream," the first-look also introduces Anjelica Huston and Halle Berry's characters. Seeing as Wick refers to the "old days" in his conversation with Berry's character Sophia, it appears as though the two have a history together. "Nothing is ever just a conversation with you, John," she tells him.

According to the plot synopsis,

John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.

Directed by Chad Stahelski, John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum releases on May 17, 2019 in the United States. It stars Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, Halle Berry, Jason Mantzoukas, Lance Reddick and Anjelica Huston.
