Exactly one year from today we'll have reason to celebrate: The third installment of the revenge-fueled John Wick franchise will continue its well-choreographed, neon-lit action in John Wick: Chapter 3 on May 17, 2019. Keanu Reeves returns as the suited-up assassin, and we get a look at him in the next film in a release date reminder.Granted, John Wick's blurry form coming into view in the pouring rain doesn't exactly give us a taste of the assured action of the film, but his intense gaze is enough to remind anyone to write down the date on their calendar.

Here's the film's official synopsis:

John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s "Excommunicado" – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.

A photo from the set of John Wick: Chapter 3 assures us the third film is sure to stay in keeping with the previous films' neo-noir aesthetics, not to mention Wick's fastidious fashion sensibilities.
