Less than two weeks into its wide theatrical release, John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum has already become the highest earning installment of the action film franchise.

This weekend, the sequel has earned $24.3 million at the domestic box office, putting its domestic earnings currently at $107.1 million. An additional $6.2 million earned on Memorial Day alone is expected to bring its domestic weekend total to $30.5 million. After 10 days in theaters, the film has currently earned $181 million at the combined global box office.

For comparison, John Wick: Chapter 2 earned $171.5 million worldwide, $92 million of which domestically after opening in February 2017. The original 2014 film earned $88.7 million worldwide, with $43 million earned domestically.

Made on a reported production budget of $75 million, not including marketing and distribution, this already makes the latest sequel a financial success.

The film currently boasts a franchise-best score of 89% on review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes. Following its successful opening weekend, a fourth film was green-lit by Lionsgate Studios for a 2021 release.

Directed by Chad Stahelski, John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum stars Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, Halle Berry, Jason Mantzoukas, Lance Reddick and Anjelica Huston.
