John Travolta, the star of such action thrillers as Swordfish, The Taking of Pelham 123 and Criminal Activities, is returning to the genre once again with I Am Wrath.

TheWrap reports the two-time Oscar nominee is in talks to star in director Chuck Russell's film as a man out for just after a group of corrupt police officers is unable to catch his wife's murderer. Although there's no deal in place, Travolta is expected to sign on.

Paul Sloan wrote the script, based on a story by Yvan Gauthier. Production is targeted to begin in March in Columbus, Ohio.

Travolta was cast just last month as O.J. Simpson defense attorney Robert Shapiro in the first season of Ryan Murphy's anthology American Crime Story.
