One of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse's iconic characters is entering the Marvel Contest of ChampionsSpider-Ham is the newest playable character for the mobile game, with comedian John Mulaney reprising his role as the animated crime-fighter.

To celebrate Spider-Ham's December release, a new motion comic titled "Back On The Air" was released on YouTube. The short film features Spider-Ham fighting several threats including Ultron and the Skrulls -- as well as politicians. Eventually, he is drawn to audition for a spot on an animated series and comes face to face with the maniacal Mojo.

Players who download the game between Dec. 7 and Dec. 31 will be able to play as a 2-Star Spider-Ham for free. Marvel Contest of Champions will also give away a free digital version of Spider-Ham #1 in-game from Dec. 1 till Dec. 31. Finally, fans will have the option to complete "John Mulaney's Champion Challenge," where they fight a team of Marvel Contest of Champions characters hand-picked by Mulaney himself.

Spider-Ham is the alter ego of Peter Porker, a spider who was bitten by the radioactive May Porker, causing him to transform into a pig himself, with all the abilities of a spider. Spider-Ham has been the star of his own comic book series, in addition to guest-starring in various titles including the Spider-Verse and Spider-Geddon storylines.

Developed by Kabam, Marvel Contest of Champions is available on the App Store and Google Play for iOS and Android devices.
