John Leguizamo Lands Lead Role in 'Taxi-22'

CBS's Taxi-22 -- characterized as the later James Gandolfini's passion project -- has found its star in John Leguizamo (Ice Age, Kick Ass), Deadline reports.

Leguizamo will co-executive produce play the lead role, a politically incorrect New York City cab driver. Taxi-22 is based on a French Canadian comedy, Taxi 0-22.

Gandolfini was set to co-executive produce just two weeks before his death in June 2013, and will receive posthumous credit in the pilot episode and potentially all of the first season.
