In the "Tribute" episode of The CW's Arrow, Oliver Queen made the tough decision to step down from the mantle of Green Arrow and pass the hood and bow to his close friend and partner, John Diggle. Photos for the next episode, titled "Next of Kin," give viewers their first look at the new Green Arrow as Diggle suits up alongside Wild Dog, Mister Terrific and Black Canary to patrol the streets of Star City.
Even though fans have seen Diggle in the green hood before when he's stood in for Oliver, it is a little shocking to know that, at least for now, the change is permanent. The photos show Team Arrow standing tall after taking out some criminals as a giant semi-truck comes barreling towards them on a dark-lit street. They don't seem too worried that they'll be run over, as one photo shows the team standing right in front of it, and another side angle view sees Diggle place some type of device on the vehicle's front grill.

DC CHARACTER ONYX VISITS STAR CITY — A rogue black ops team led by Onyx (guest star Chastity Dotson) breaks into Kord Industries and steals something lethal. Oliver (Stephen Amell) struggles to connect with William (guest star Jack Moore) so he reaches out to a surprising source for help.
John Diggle debuts as the new Green Arrow in the Arrow episode “Next of Kin,” airing Thursday, Oct. 26, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
