Having made his debut in The Saga of the Swamp Thing before becoming the star of Hellblazer, John Constantine's history is steeped in horror. Simon Spurrier and Aaron Campbell's resurrection of the original John Constantine, titled John Constantine: Hellblazer, will bring the character to DC's Sandman Universe and back to his horror roots.

DC has released an unlettered first look at John Constantine: Hellblazer #2 that shows the events of a grizzly murder haunting him. You can see the first look below along with the solicitation information for the issue.

  • The original Constantine is back in John Constantine: Hellblazer from Simon Spurrier (The Dreaming) and Aaron Campbell (Infidel), with nothing to his name but decades of bad memories and an unearned second chance. How, exactly, will he squander it? There's only one way to find out...
  • In the second issue of this new series set in DC’s Sandman Universe, curated by Neil Gaiman, John's return to London isn't going as smoothly as he'd hoped...though it's already been just as bloody as he could have expected! Enormous angels straight from the mind of William Blake are tearing people to ribbons in Peckham Rye Common, and the gang lord who's pressed John into service is getting increasingly impatient about John's inability to deal with them.
  • And what will K-Mag learn from scrying remains this month?
