Although Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy recently teased some of the characters introduced in the current Star Wars trilogy may return, in television or on film, star John Boyega has revealed The Rise of Skywalker could be his final appearance in the franchise.Asked during an interview at Star Wars Celebration Chicago whether he will ever play Finn again, Boyega told MTV News, "Honestly, the bottom of my heart, I don't think I am." His tone is sincere, suggesting this may not be misdirection to steer away from any clues about the plot of the sequel.

"[The Rise of Skywalker] really is that movie," Boyega continued. "I think everyone doesn't believe it, but this is that war that just ends everything."

He also said the film will answer all of the questions fans have. With the sheer number of plot threads and mysteries from The Last Jedi and the teaser for The Rise of Skywalker, that's a tall order.

The anticipation continues to build for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. With Boyega's claim that it could be his final appearance in the franchise, the fate of Finn is unclear.
