Joel Schumacher, who'll be forever remembered as the director who put nipples on the Batsuit, has teamed with Investigation Discovery for the true-crime series "Do Not Disturb: Hotel Horrors."

Described by the cable channel as "a throwback to cult classics like 'The Shining' and 'Psycho,'" the series will utilize a "a highly stylized cinematic look and feel" to explore horrifying murder cases that have taken place in hotels and inns across the United States. The show will employ a mix of recreations, archival footage and interviews.

Schumacher, whose film credits include "The Lost Boys," "Batman Forever," "Batman & Robin," "Flatliners" and "Phone Booth," will serve as executive producer.

"I love true crime and I'm fascinated with the criminal mind (because I have one), which is why I love ID," Schumacher said in a statement. "I thought, wouldn't it be fun to work on a show for them and we hit on this idea of murders in hotel rooms - so expect violence, sex, and all the scandal and twists ID fans want to see."
