Heartstopper's Joe Locke is the latest up-and-coming actor to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to Variety, the actor has joined the cast of Agatha: Coven of Chaos in an undisclosed role. Emma Caulfield Ford is also expected to reprise her WandaVision role of Dottie in the spinoff series.

Initially titled Agatha: House of Harkness, Coven of Chaos will reportedly be produced using the Wizard of Oz-inspired working title "My Pretty." While specific plot details remain scarce, a recent casting call has teased that teenage versions of Wanda Maximoff's twin sons, Billy and Tommy, could appear in the series. Filming on Coven of Chaos is expected to begin in January 2023 and last until the following May.

A Second WandaVision Spinoff Is in the Works

Coven of Chaos is the first of two WandaVision spinoffs planned for Disney+, with Vision Quest also in the works at Marvel Studios. The upcoming series will focus on "The Vision trying to regain his memory and humanity." Paul Bettany will reprise his role from previous Marvel Cinematic Universe projects as Vision. The WandaVision spinoff's title is derived from the 1989 West Coast Avengers story arc of the same name, which saw Vision dismantled, causing his artificial skin to turn white. He lost the ability to feel emotions, leading to his romance with Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch falling apart. The story arc was loosely adapted in the final episodes of WandaVision.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos will debut during Phase 5 of the MCU, with the upcoming series releasing alongside several other notable continuations, including Loki Season 2 and Daredevil: Born Again. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige recently explained that Phase 4 of the MCU was "all about introductions," with several prominent Marvel characters like Moon Knight, Shang-Chi, Ms. Marvel and Agatha Harkness herself -- making their debut during the phase. Phase 5 will flip that concept, with the majority of the projects focusing on already established superheroes like Sam Wilson/Captain America, Ant-Man and the Wasp, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Echo and Captain Marvel. Blade is currently the only Phase 5 film that will introduce a new main character, with Mahershala Ali set to make his official MCU debut as the titular Daywalker following his uncredited voice cameo in 2021's Eternals.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos premieres on Disney+ in Winter 2023.
