The latest publishing imprint launched by DC is Hill House Comics, personally curated and overseen by bestselling horror novelist and comic book writer Joe Hill, the son of Stephen King.

With the first title in this wave of horror comics, Basketful of Heads, by Hill and artist Leomacs, now on sale, DC has released a chilling trailer providing an extensive look at Issue #1.

Driven by Leomacs' haunting artwork, the eight-issue miniseries follows a young woman named June Branch who has been trapped with her boyfriend by four murderous criminals. Using an ancient Viking ax, June discovers that those beheaded by the weapon are still capable of speech through mysterious and supernatural means. As June hacks her way to freedom, she must go on a bloody, horrifying odyssey to rescue her boyfriend from evil.

In addition to Basketful of Heads, there are currently six separate miniseries announced as part of the publishing line, including Mike Carey and Peter Gross' The Dollhouse Family, which debuts in November.
