It's been a little over three months since Joe Carnahan was announced as director for the upcoming adaptation of Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's Nemesis, and he's apparently hard at work on the project. Carnahan and his brother Matthew are writing the script for the movie, and he took to Twitter to give fans a status update.

"My brother and I have begun Nemesis ... This script is gonna be a beast," he tweeted.

Carnahan has at least one big supporter in a high place. Following the news that The Grey director has started on Nemesis, Millar tweeted his own encouragement" "The bearded genius who shot Bin Laden AND made The Grey in the past 2 years has just started Nemesis movie. GO GO! @carnojoe!!!!!"

It was Millar who originally broke the Nemesis/Carnahan news. In a post on his Millarworld Forums back in August, Millar wrote about why he was excited for the esteemed director to take on the project.

"Fox wanted us to get in the same room for the first time and really hash this out, which was exciting," wrote Millar. "Joe has a really brilliant take on this and Matt and he are going to take things from here so I'm really happy."

There have been no actors attached to this project yet and no release date announced.
