When one talks about some of the most popular, quirky, and brilliant anime around, it goes without saying that JoJo's Bizarre Adventure would be an inevitable part of the conversation. This legendary manga series finally got a well-deserved anime adaptation, and fans were in awe of just how brilliant the series turned out to be, keeping in mind the age of the manga David Productions were trying to adapt.

The sheer number of JoJo fans have just skyrocketed, with most anime fans being well aware of this cultural phenomenon. Araki has stumbled upon an absolute goldmine, and the manner in which he's been maintaining it all this while absolutely must be commended.

The Stands that Araki brought to the series from Part 3 onwards has to be mentioned, with each of these supernatural entities turning JoJo into one of the most unique shonen anime around. Here's a list of each main JoJo's Stand, ranked in terms of strength.

8 Joseph Joestar — Hermit Purple

In Battle Tendency, Joseph Joestar turns out to be the best part of the entire series. His amazing charisma and hilarious hijinks put him a cut above the rest of the main JoJos on this list in terms of sheer entertainment factor.

However, with the onset of Stardust Crusaders, it was evident that a new JoJo would be taking the reigns. So, in a bid to nerf Joseph, he was given the weakest stand out of the entire group that travels to Egypt, which is quite a shame. It definitely took away from the character's epicness, turning him into nothing more than an excuse for continuous exposition dumps.

7 Giorno Giovanna — Gold Experience

Gold Experience is one of the more unique — and censored — stands on this list. Giorno's stand initially starts out as a complete weakling whose powers were mainly to imbue things with life... perhaps a bit too much at times.

As the series progressed, Gold Experience did end up gaining some physical power over time — the classic JoJo punch rush simply couldn't be sidelined — but it was still a comparatively weak Stand regardless.

6 Josuke Higashikata — Crazy Diamond

Diamond Is Unbreakable is considered by many to be one of JoJo's best parts, and it's easy to see why this is the case. The setting, story, and characters all work together in complete harmony, with Josuke being the crowning jewel of this combination.

His Crazy Diamond is a brilliant stand, mainly because it encouraged JoJo to work together with his friends to take down opponents instead of doing everything on his own.

5 Johnny Joestar — Tusk

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure manga - Steel Ball Run - Stand - Tusk Act 4

Steel Ball Run is one of the more unique JoJo stories and the Stand that the main character sports demonstrate exactly why this is the case.

Johnny Joestar is an intriguing protagonist indeed, with Tusk being a Stand that easily allows for some massive powerups indeed. From Act 1 to Act 2, Tusk is a fairly serviceable Stand that can help Johhny out in a pinch but isn't exactly spectacular otherwise.

However, this changes with the advent of Act 3, which pretty much allows for the creation of a wormhole of sorts. If that wasn't ridiculous enough as is, Act 4 makes the Tusk Stand into a powerhouse that can do most impossible feats with the greatest of ease. The only drawback is that generating energy in this phase is quite a pain, which proves to be just enough of a drawback to prevent Tusk from turning into one of the most ridiculously overpowered Stands around.

4 Jolyne Cujoh — Stone Free

Stone Free from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean (manga).

With Part 5's anime adaptation finally over and done with, fans can't wait to see what Part 6 has in store for them... even though the majority of manga readers have voiced their displeasure at Jolyne's character.

However, even then, one can't deny the fact Jolyne's Stand is incredibly powerful and interesting, to boot. Not only does it boast a ton of power, but it also bestows the unique ability to turn the user's body into threads, which is an excellent idea with a ton of potential — something that Araki wastes no time exploring in Stone Ocean.

3 Josuke Higashikata — Soft & Wet

3. Soft & Wet’s Plundering

It seems that each progressive JoJo has received a Stand with a ton of power, and Soft & Wet is one such Stand that is a perfect example of this. The story of Josuke as he tries to uncover his memories is interesting enough as is, but what makes his story even better is definitely his Stand.

The fact that he can straight up steal an object's element for himself — something that proves to be quite entertaining indeed — is quite impressive on its own, but the Stand's power reaches even new heights after Josuke goes through an equivalent exchange. Now, his bubbles can function as bombs!

2 Jotaro Kujo — Star Platinum

Around the time of Stardust Crusaders, shows like Fist of the North Star were incredibly popular. A no-nonsense badass who could deal with any threat in his way was the trend that Araki tried to emulate with Jotaro Kujo, and the results were... mixed, to say the least.

One can argue that Jotaro is perhaps the least interesting protagonist out of all the main JoJos... but there's no denying that Star Platinum is one of the most powerful stands around. Its punch rushes are the stuff of legends and the sheer lengths that Araki went to sell the power of Star Platinum are truly extraordinary.

Oh, and if infinite power wasn't good enough as is... Star Platinum also gained the ability to stop time for a few seconds by the end of Stardust Crusaders, making it even more powerful as a result.

1 Giorno Giovanna — Gold Experience Requiem

Giorno's Golden Experience Requiem in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

Gold Experience might've been an impressive stand in its own way, but it doesn't even come close to the sheer power that its Requiem version emanates.

The idea of turning into nothingness with just one touch of this Stand is simply ridiculous, proving once and for all that a Stand that can incapacitate enemies in one hit is bound to be an impressive one indeed.
